Anyone who can say that life isn't rough hasn't really lived. Relationships are complex, and they can be one sided. I've had a few of those in my life while trying to help someone out. I'm glad you have found peace in accepting this is the way of the world, many people never actually find peace at all.

It's essential to just try and find peace. I think accepting is tough, especially when it's hard to believe one's new reality. There's no way we can doubt or live in denial, but it's hard anyway.
I've had these complex relationships, it was the center point of my upbringing and in reality, I think there are people who haven't truly had rough lives.
