It's a beautiful coin and I would love to have one too. After the war the country had a lot of healing to do, and honoring the generals was one way it was done. That's why many streets on military bases were named after Lee and Jackson.

Awesome coin, even though it failed to achieve it's purpose. It's a nice piece of US history, and it's silver! I don't think I've ever seen one in a coin shop before, but I often don't look at the commemoratives as much as I should.
