When I enjoy coffee with my best friend, we tend to talk about art whether it's new music we've heard or someone with really cool drawing skills and share new insights that we've discovered when we're not together, because my best friend is a member of my band so overall it's mostly about music and I myself realize that as I get older, the communication span with my best friend or friends will get thinner, especially people like me who spend a lot of time at home working and creating art 😅

I feel you about conversations thinning and reactions draw a strange look from friends sometimes. You reminded me of an artist friend who hibernates and disappears to work on his masterpieces and then resurfaces occasionally and he calls it "getting out of the cave." How often do you catch up with your friend?

I meet up with a few friends every day, by going out of the cave and sitting in a hangout but mostly I don't chat and just breathe in the fresh air because I don't like small talk :) hehe
