On October 7, our school held the kickoff ceremonies for Scouting Month. To begin with, as we participated in the celebration of Scouting Month, we conducted the Sunrise parade for the scouters.
Early in the morning, we gathered in the court to prepare for the sunrise parade. It's nice to see that our students came early, too, and wore their scouting uniforms to participate in the ceremony.
After the parade, we returned to school and began the ceremony by reading the Scout oath and Scout law. We are pleased to see that our students are very disciplined, reciting everything at once.
As one of their scout managers, I am so happy that these students are able to join and participate in scouting. They can learn a lot of things that benefit them, not just in school but definitely in real life.
Scouting has always encouraged young people's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. The ultimate goal is to raise individuals who will positively impact the creation of a safe and stable society. That is a great deal of responsibility. Each person and the society they create are built on a foundation of character development, leadership, and physical and mental fitness.
Aside from this, every student will learn the essence of leadership.
Everybody has the potential to be a leader, and scouting is a fantastic way to cultivate that potential!
Scouting provides fundamental activities that allow you to demonstrate leadership in real-world situations. It teaches you to take initiative, take responsibility, and lead others. With the correct kind of support, you can improve your problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and communication abilities.
Tree Planting Activity
We taught life skills by planting trees and gardening. The students gained self-assurance, leadership skills, communication and compromise abilities, and a sense of responsibility by caring for the plants. They also developed their ability to observe as they studied the interactions between soil, weather, animals, and plants.
By working together and planting trees in underserved community schools, we improved their aesthetics and made them more desirable educational spaces. The taller trees will also provide shaded areas where children can play away from the heat and where outdoor education can take place. The presence of trees has also been said to lower stress levels and improve air quality.
Clean-Up Drive!
Another activity that we did during the kickoff ceremony was the Clean Up Drive.
A clean school environment is essential for students' mental health. When students are in a clean and orderly environment, their stress levels are reduced, and a positive outlook is promoted.
Maintaining a clean school environment is essential for students' academic performance and overall well-being. When cleanliness is prioritized, students gain a strong sense of pride and ownership, which enhances the learning environment and makes it more enjoyable. Furthermore, a tidy and well-organized space creates a peaceful atmosphere that aids students in sharpening their focus and concentration on their academic objectives.
We are so happy to have conducted the kickoff ceremony with the scouters. They really enjoyed the event and are ready to face more challenges. It's just the beginning, and we hope for more success and achievement in the following days of Scout Month.
