It is hard for me to envision Tesla without Elon Mush and Elon Musk without Tesla. I could say that their destinies intertwine and this symbiosis gets the best of both sides.
That is true although companies and people do eventually part ways. But I dont think this is a parting for those two. Still a lot left to integrate.

What should happen and does happen are two different things when it comes to rich people and lots of ego. !LOLZ
I don't think Elon will leave the company. Not of his own volition of course. He has a lot of power and control over the company to just let that go on his own. I don't know if the shareholders has enough support to make him step down though.
