In this video I discuss how many companies are after the dry cathode process. It is often thought of one of the Holy Grails of battery production. Many are entering that but cannot scale. Tesla is now taking a step it hopes will pan out.

A few weeks ago I saw a post about LG getting some breakthroughs, and other companies seem to be making good progress. It is interesting to see that a lot of companies appear to be neck and neck in this. I believe whichever one gets to do it first, will get a huge boost in sales since they can lower the price. In the end, it should be good for the consumers.
It is a long term pursuit. If someone starts the ability to scale, it will still be a couple years.
