Hive is on the decline. What to do?

We go through this every so often. We see many panic believing that things are going downhill.

In this video I discuss how the market is not a good method to validate decisions. It is also does not tell what is going on with an ecosystem. H

Here is where a long term view of things along with some perspective is required.

Well, it may just be me, but I see this as a buying opportunity. I love me a good crypto fire-sale!

Of course, this strategy has burned me before. I remember when I thought SPS was a good deal at .62, then .25, then .12.

If you are a long term believer, then that is exactly what it could be. What you like just went on sale.

Sadly people do not think like that.

On the other hand, I hate to be the one catching a falling knife, as well. Did a BUNCH of that with SPS and hope. Ouch.

It is hard to pick a bottom...in fact it is impossible other than with a great deal of luck.

Agreed, but I feel as though HIVE is good to get a load of, even all the way to the bottom, because, well, we have an awesome ecosystem and dedicated users. With more engagement and an influx of new people, this thing could go parabolic!

One thing about Hive, you can keep adding to your stake through curation plus the inflation adjustment which is over 3% at the moment.

The fact they are tied to resource credits means a lot. We need to keep promoting that idea.

Even Leo is working on a system that will delegate RCs to users.

I have the bulk of my RC delegated to the owner of the SBI token. It helps with the distribution of rewards in a timely fashion. It isn't a ton, but it is a great way to use what was just sitting idle.

The fact that it allows for free transfers and actions(well, basically free) is a very strong argument for Hive as a blockchain.

There are a lot of arguments for Hive as a blockchain. Too bad most are too foolish to realize it. They focus solely upon rewards and only Hive at that.

My guess is they regret it big time.

Markets are all about supply and demand, that's really the gist of it. People overcomplicate everything which causes a bunch of noise. I have posted and made videos about the fact that the market is neutral, it's not out to get anyone, it just flows, so we have to flow with it. As long as the fundamentals are still in place, it doesn't matter what the price is. The problem is this industry is all about number-go-up. The problem with Hive is there are too many sellers vs buyers and that's why the price drops. The Hive markets are not very liquid at all on exchanges which causes issues as well when a big holder or a few holders decide to sell on Binance.

There may be too many sellers because they acquired that HIVE too easily, by posting a picture of their lunch or something. Fortunately, Inflation is reduced by 0.01% every 8.68 days, so it's slowly, but surely becoming more scarce.

Should the inflation rate be reduces faster? I think so.

Never change the inflation rate. That causes a loss of credibility. If you can adjust it down, you can adjust it up.

Yeah. It is amazing how many think the market is out to get them. They make it personal.

The market doesnt even know you exist, let alone care about you.

That said, it is shark infested waters. There are pros who are very adept at trading and are perfectly willing to take people's money when they get emotional.

Oh for sure. I know I have been in that kind of mindset before, but really it was just me making stupid decisions. I go by the data and stopped trading on feelings. That is why I built my custom indicator.

Feelings are the enemy in the markets.

Like Dragnet, just the facts.

Wow brother you said it as it's supposed to be said. If you're looking for market s to validate decisions, it's complete foolishness. Infact while s the value is going down is when I'm actually going hard here on Hive. Thanks for the inspiring words Taskmaster, you've driven all the fear out of me now

It would seem to be common sense yet that is exactly what the masses do.

This really stuns me and I think people need to understand what markets are.

You're absolutely right Taskmaster it's a knowledge problem I'm seeing with most people. They're not exactly aware of how things run and the right thing to focus on.

It's a nice video, it reinforced some beliefs in me as well as thought new ones, such as; that price isn't really the focus but how relevant the system will be in the next 5 years or more, I do know it lingers around long term perspective which leads to my question;

Question

I have been opportuned to learn and study to be a trader to profit off the bull and bear of the market, which I see as a very valuable skill because I can analyze on any timeframe such as 2hr, 4hr, 6 months and 1yr charts. Analyze on this long term time-frames doesn't it bring about long term perspective?

Aside that, I'm enjoying the downturn of hive as I was able to get myself 29 hive coins to purchase 6 HBD to practice saving dollar dominated asset savings to outrun the bad economic policy in my native country, and in the long term by grace the price will get a lot higher which I work on generating more income from hive to stack up for further investment and staking, thanks for sharing.

Exceptional traders can basically print themselves a paycheck. It is a powerful skill to have.

Emotional intelligence are equally as important as the technical skills. There are millions of the latter out there, many of them valid. However, if one lacks the ability to control emotions, the best trading system will fail.

Very true, still working on my emotional intelligence

A lot of crypto are going down, so it isn't as worrying. If it was only Hive, then I would be scared. But in these times, I think one's beliefs on the product/blockchain gets questioned. If you believe in it, then this is just a fire sale and an opportunity to buy more.

A market crash can always be a stressful event mostly for people who invested a lot, but by staying calm, informed and strategic, I think everyone can navigate through the turbulence. Thank you for sharing!

I powered up a little bit. It's an opportunity to buy more clout at a good price.

It's not just Hive declining. It's everything. I'd be more worried if it was just Hive going down.
