Walks by the sea are, without a doubt, my favorite. There is nothing like the sound of the waves, the salty scent of the air and the breeze when I walk along the sand. They are moments of deep connection with nature and with myself, I love those moments. However, it is not always easy to find the time to enjoy these walks. Work, as it usually happens, absorbs me more than I would like, relegating to the background these moments that I love so much. Even so, I try not to let it dominate me completely, because I know how important it is to have this space of tranquility.
Although I enjoy walking at any time of the day, I have two very marked preferences: early in the morning, when the sun is barely visible and the beach still retains the stillness of the night, and in the afternoon, when the sky is dressed in warm tones and the golden light makes everything seem more beautiful and radiant. Every moment has its charm, and on this occasion, I had the opportunity to walk and sit in the morning.
The reason for my walk was that I had to go all the way to the hotel to pick up my husband. Since I had to wait for the established schedule, I decided to do it in the best way possible, and in a place that I would like, so I headed to Caracola beach.
As I made my way to the beach, I enjoyed the mix between the urban landscape and the natural environment.
Las caminatas junto al mar son, sin lugar a dudas, mis preferidas. No hay nada como el sonido de las olas, el aroma salino del aire y la brisa, cuando camino por la arena. Son momentos de conexión profunda con la naturaleza y conmigo misma, adoro esos momentos. Sin embargo, no siempre es fácil encontrar el tiempo para disfrutar de estos paseos. El trabajo, como suele suceder, me absorbe más de lo que quisiera, relegando a un segundo plano esos instantes que tanto me gustan. Aun así, trato de que no me domine completamente, pues sé cuán importante es tener este espacio de tranquilidad.
Si bien disfruto caminar en cualquier momento del día, tengo dos preferencias muy marcadas, bien temprano en la mañana, cuando el sol apenas se asoma y la playa aún conserva la quietud de la noche, y en la tarde, cuando el cielo se viste de tonos cálidos y la luz dorada hace que todo parezca más hermoso y radiante. Cada momento tiene su encanto, y en esta ocasión, tuve la oportunidad de caminar y sentarme en la mañana.
La razón de mi paseo fue que debía ir hasta el hotel a recoger a mi esposo. Como tenía que esperar a que se cumpliera el horario establecido, decidí hacerlo de la mejor manera posible, y en un lugar que me gustará, por eso me dirigí a la playa Caracola.
Mientras me dirigía hacia la playa, disfruté de la mezcla entre el paisaje urbano y el entorno natural.
I passed by the Morro Lagoon, which always fascinates me for its unique beauty. It is a place that catches my attention every time I visit it. On this occasion, I did not have the joy of seeing the pink flamingos, those elegant inhabitants that usually adorn the water mirror, but even without them, the landscape gave me a calm and harmonious view.
Pasé por la laguna Morro, que siempre me resulta fascinante por su singular belleza. Es un lugar que atrapa mi atención cada vez que lo visito. En esta ocasión, no tuve la dicha de ver a los flamencos rosados, esos elegantes habitantes que suelen adornar el espejo de agua, pero, aun sin ellos, el paisaje me regaló una vista tranquila y armoniosa.
When I finally arrived at the beach, I didn't even take off my shoes and started walking on the sand, without realizing it and when I saw it was too late, I had all my shoes full of sand. I walked for a while, letting my thoughts dissipate, it's a very relaxing feeling for me.
Cuando finalmente llegué a la playa, ni me quite los zapatos comencé a caminar por la arena, sin darme cuenta y cuando vi ya era tarde, tenía todo los zapatos llenos de arena. Caminé un rato, dejando que mis pensamientos se disiparan, es una sensación muy relajante para mi.
As I walked along, I watched the fishermen deftly pulling a train of sardines. Around them, several birds fluttered, eager to get their share of the catch. The curious thing is that these birds are not mere spectators, they play an essential role in the process, as they are the ones who alert the fishermen to the presence of fish spots in the water. That is why, when the fishermen manage to catch them, they usually feed them as a gesture of reciprocity and gratitude. It is a natural balance, a dance between species that coexist and mutually benefit each other.
Mientras avanzaba, observé el trabajo de los pescadores, quienes, con destreza, jalaban un tren de sardinas. A su alrededor, varias aves revoloteaban, ansiosas por obtener su parte de la pesca. Lo curioso es que estas aves no son meras espectadoras, cumplen un papel esencial en el proceso, pues son ellas las que alertan a los pescadores sobre la presencia de manchas de peces en el agua. Por eso, cuando los pescadores logran su captura, suelen alimentarlas como un gesto de reciprocidad y agradecimiento. Es un equilibrio natural, una danza entre especies que conviven y se benefician mutuamente.
After a while walking along the sand and contemplating the boats, I felt that time had passed too quickly. I knew I had to go pick up my husband, so I headed back to the hotel, but not before stopping for a few moments to capture the beauty of the place in photographs.
Después de un tiempo caminando por la arena y contemplando los botes, sentí que el tiempo había pasado demasiado rápido. Sabía que debía ir a recoger a mi esposo, así que me dirigí al hotel, pero no sin antes detenerme por unos instantes para capturar en fotografías la belleza del lugar.
Once we were together, we started our way back home with a clear idea, this weekend we would dedicate it to rest and wellness. It had been an intense week, full of effort and hard work, and we needed to disconnect, recover energy and simply enjoy some peace.
Thus concluded our tour, where we found small moments of happiness in the middle of a routine. I hope you liked this tour.

Una vez que estuvimos juntos, emprendimos el camino de regreso a casa con una idea clara, este fin de semana lo dedicaremos al descanso y al bienestar. Había sido una semana intensa, llena de esfuerzo y trabajo duro, y necesitábamos desconectarnos, recuperar energías y simplemente disfrutar de un poco de paz.
