I hope you have a wonderful and productive week. I'm sure mine will be too. In fact, this Monday we will be signing a new contract that we have been working on with a lot of effort and dedication, and that has me feeling deeply motivated and grateful. It's another goal achieved, another step toward our objectives. Since last week, I have been dedicating a little more of my time to this project that I am developing from home, which has allowed me to make significant progress. In addition, I have been accompanying my father to several medical appointments, which has made my days more intense than usual. That is why I have mentioned on more than one occasion that my week has been quite hectic.
I am not complaining at all about having to work or being busy. On the contrary, I feel fortunate to have the unconditional support of my family. Both my son and my husband help me a lot, and we share the household chores equally. That collaboration makes everything more bearable. What exhausted me most emotionally was worrying about my father's health. However, thank God, everything is going well and progressing favorably, which gives me a lot of peace of mind.
To clear my head and relax a little, I decided to go for a walk with my husband. We went to the Sambil shopping center, a place that always offers a pleasant and lively atmosphere. The idea was to disconnect from our routine for a while, breathe some fresh air, and, while we were at it, buy some paintbrushes for a very special girl: Karla Molla. She is only 9 years old, but she has an impressive talent for painting. Her paintings are truly beautiful for someone her age, and both my husband and I want to support her and encourage her gift.
Espero que su semana sea hermosa y muy productiva. Estoy segura de que la mía lo será también. De hecho, este lunes cerraremos un nuevo contrato que hemos venido trabajando con mucho esfuerzo y dedicación, y eso me tiene profundamente motivada y agradecida. Es una meta más alcanzada, un paso más hacia nuestros objetivos. Desde la semana pasada he estado dedicando un poco más de horas de mi tiempo a este proyecto que desarrollo desde casa, lo cual me ha permitido avanzar bastante. Además, he estado acompañando a mi padre a varias consultas médicas, lo que ha hecho que mis días sean más intensos de lo habitual. Por eso, en más de una ocasión les comenté que mi semana había sido bastante agitada.
No me quejo en absoluto por tener que trabajar o por estar ocupada. Al contrario, me siento afortunada de contar con el apoyo incondicional de mi familia. Tanto mi hijo como mi esposo me ayudan muchísimo y compartimos las tareas del hogar de manera equitativa. Esa colaboración hace que todo sea más llevadero. Lo que más me agotó emocionalmente fue la preocupación por la salud de mi padre. Sin embargo, gracias a Dios, todo va marchando debidamente y con buena evolución, lo cual me da mucha tranquilidad.
Para poder despejarme un poco y relajarme, decidí salir a caminar con mi esposo. Fuimos al centro comercial Sambil, un lugar que siempre nos brinda un ambiente agradable y lleno de vida. La idea era desconectarnos un rato de la rutina, respirar otro aire y, de paso, comprar unos pinceles para una niña muy especial: Karla Molla. Ella tiene apenas 9 años, pero posee un talento impresionante para la pintura. Sus cuadros son verdaderamente hermosos para alguien de su edad, y tanto mi esposo como yo queremos apoyarla y estimular ese don que tiene.
Karla isn't very fond of traditional toys. She prefers to spend her time drawing, mixing colors, and creating little works of art. So, as we walked through some stores, we decided that the best gift we could give her, and one that would really make her happy, would be some good paintbrushes. I thought it was a nice and meaningful gesture.
As we walked through the mall, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had already started putting up Christmas decorations. The decorations give the whole place a magical feel. The lights, the colors, the decorated trees... all of this transforms the atmosphere and awakens a special joy, especially in the little ones, who run around excitedly. This time of year has something special that connects us with hope, family, and good wishes.
Karla no es muy aficionada a los juguetes tradicionales. Ella prefiere pasar su tiempo dibujando, mezclando colores y creando pequeñas obras de arte. Por eso, mientras caminábamos por algunas tiendas, decidimos que el mejor regalo que podíamos hacerle, y que realmente la haría feliz, serían unos buenos pinceles. Me pareció un gesto bonito y significativo.
Mientras recorríamos el centro comercial, me sorprendió gratamente ver que ya comenzaron a colocar los adornos navideños. Esa decoración le da un aire mágico a todo el lugar. Las luces, los colores, los árboles decorados… todo eso transforma el ambiente y despierta una alegría especial, sobre todo en los más pequeños, que corren de un lado a otro emocionados. Esta época del año tiene algo especial que nos conecta con la esperanza, la familia y los buenos deseos.
After walking for a while, we arrived at the Mundo Escolar store. When we asked for paintbrushes, they pointed us to a section with a wide variety. There were all sizes, shapes, and materials. I carefully chose a set that I thought would be ideal for Karla, with 15 wooden brushes and ergonomic handles with finger rests. I remember having a similar set years ago, and I still have them because I also enjoy painting in my spare time.
Después de caminar un rato, llegamos a la tienda Mundo Escolar. Al preguntar por pinceles, nos indicaron una sección con una gran variedad. Había de todos los tamaños, formas y materiales. Escogí cuidadosamente un set que me pareció ideal para Karla, con 15 pinceles de madera y mangos ergonómicos con apoyo para los dedos. Recuerdo que yo tuve unos similares hace años y aún los conservo, porque en mis escasos ratos libres también disfruto de pintar.
As the Christmas spirit is already in the air, I took the opportunity to buy a decorative bag to wrap the gift. We left the store happy with our purchase and continued walking, enjoying the music, the lights, and the joy that filled every corner of the mall.
Como ya se siente el espíritu navideño en el aire, aproveché para comprar una bolsa decorativa para envolver el regalo. Salimos de la tienda contentos con nuestra compra y seguimos caminando, disfrutando de la música, las luces y la alegría que se respiraba en cada rincón del centro comercial.
