Happy weekend! I hope you are enjoying a well-deserved break, surrounded by peace and good company. As for us, we are only working half a day today, and then we will begin to enjoy our own weekend, which promises to be calm and relaxing.
I should mention that although the pace of work has been a little slower these days, we still have commitments that we cannot ignore. Duty calls, and when you have a small business, you know that consistency is key to keeping it afloat. Yesterday was one of those days when, even though our bodies were crying out for rest, we had to go out and visit our suppliers to stock up our warehouse. It's a task we do gladly, because we know that every effort counts and brings us closer to our goals.
The good thing about these trips is that they don't require us to get up so early. Our suppliers open their doors at 8:00 a.m. and start shipping from the warehouse at 9:00 a.m., so we can leave home calmly, without rushing or running.
Yesterday, the early morning was marked by persistent rain that cooled the air. As the morning progressed, the sky cleared and the sun began to shine brightly, giving us a splendid day.
That change in the weather was extremely beautiful. The rain had cleaned every corner of the city, leaving the streets and trees sparkling, as if everything had been carefully washed, ha ha ha. The colors looked more vivid, the greens more intense, the sky bluer. I took advantage of that moment to take some photos of urban and natural landscapes that I encountered along the way. I have always enjoyed capturing those moments that look like something out of a postcard to show you.
Feliz fin de semana, espero que estén disfrutando de un merecido descanso, rodeados de tranquilidad y buena compañía. Por nuestra parte, hoy solo trabajamos medio día, y luego comenzaremos a disfrutar de nuestro propio fin de semana, que ya se asoma con promesas de calma y desconexión.
Les cuento que aunque el ritmo laboral ha sido un poco más suave en estos días, seguimos teniendo compromisos que no podemos dejar de lado. El deber llama, y cuando uno tiene un pequeño negocio, sabe que la constancia es clave para mantenerlo a flote. Ayer fue uno de esos días en los que, aunque el cuerpo pedía descanso, tocó salir a recorrer a nuestros proveedores para surtir nuestro depósito. Es una tarea que hacemos con gusto, porque sabemos que cada esfuerzo suma y nos acerca a nuestras metas.
Lo bueno de estos recorridos es que no requieren que madruguemos tanto. Nuestros proveedores abren sus puertas a las 8:00 a.m. y comienzan a despachar en el almacén a partir de las 9:00 a.m., así que podemos salir con calma desde casa, sin prisas ni carreras.
Ayer, la madrugada estuvo marcada por una lluvia persistente que refrescó el ambiente. A medida que avanzaba la mañana, el cielo fue despejándose y el sol comenzó a asomarse con fuerza, regalándonos un día espléndido.
Ese cambio en el clima fue sumamente hermoso. La lluvia había limpiado cada rincón de la ciudad, dejando las calles y los árboles relucientes, como si todo hubiera sido lavado con esmero jajajaja. Los colores se veían más vivos, los verdes más intensos, el cielo más azul. Aproveché ese momento para tomar algunas fotos de paisajes urbanos y naturales que me encontré en el camino. Siempre me ha gustado capturar esos instantes que parecen sacados de una postal para mostrarles.
Our first stop was at the Sunsol Unik hotel, where we had scheduled a routine checkup. It was a simple task, just a few verification tests, so it didn't take us long. In no time, we were back on the road, ready to continue with the rest of the tour.
Nuestra primera parada fue en el hotel Sunsol Unik, donde teníamos programado un chequeo rutinario. Era una tarea sencilla, solo unos test de verificación, así que no nos tomó mucho tiempo. En poco rato ya estábamos de nuevo en la calle, listos para continuar con el resto del recorrido.
At one point in the city, one of our suppliers gave us some unexpected news: they couldn't deliver the hypochlorite to the warehouse because their transport was damaged. As it was Friday, they wouldn't be able to make the delivery until Monday afternoon or even Tuesday. Faced with this situation, we decided to load the product into the trunk of the car. This was not ideal, as we prefer not to transport this type of product in our vehicle, but we had no other choice. For safety reasons, we wore face masks and drove with caution. The important thing was to ensure that the product arrived at the warehouse without any problems.
En uno de los puntos de la ciudad, uno de nuestros proveedores nos dio una noticia inesperada: no podrían llevarnos el hipoclorito al depósito porque su transporte estaba dañado. Como era viernes, no podrían hacer el envío sino hasta el lunes en la tarde o incluso el martes. Ante esa situación, decidimos cargar el producto en la maleta del auto. No es lo ideal, ya que preferimos no transportar ese tipo de productos en nuestro vehículo, pero no teníamos otra opción. Por seguridad, nos colocamos tapabocas y manejamos con precaución. Lo importante era asegurar que el producto llegara al depósito sin contratiempos.
Once we had unloaded everything at the warehouse, we still had one last task: to return to the city to deliver the transportation document. Although that document is the supplier's responsibility, we carried it with us in case we were stopped for inspection. Fortunately, everything went smoothly.
Una vez descargamos todo en el depósito, aún nos quedaba una última tarea: regresar a la ciudad para entregar el documento de transportación. Aunque ese papel es responsabilidad del proveedor, lo llevábamos nosotros por si nos detenían para alguna inspección. Afortunadamente, todo transcurrió sin inconvenientes.
With all our tasks completed, we decided to make a brief stop at the Venetur marina. It was a moment to disconnect, take a deep breath, and start tuning into the spirit of the weekend. Being near the sea always comforts me. There is something about the sound of the waves, the salty breeze, and the distant horizon that fills me with peace. Whenever I can, I never miss the opportunity to enjoy these moments.
Con todas las tareas cumplidas, decidimos hacer una breve parada en la marina de Venetur. Fue un momento para desconectar, respirar profundo y empezar a sintonizarnos con el espíritu del fin de semana. Estar cerca del mar siempre me reconforta. Hay algo en el sonido de las olas, en la brisa salada y en lo lejos del horizonte que me llena de mucha paz. Y siempre que puedo no pierdo la oportunidad de disfrutar estos momentos.
