RE: 10,000 to...

At the beginning of mankind the planet provided everything we needed to survive and thrive. Not only did it provide for our needs, but we knew intrinsically how to use what was available. Over thousands of years we have lost our way as a species and now depend on others to grow and procure food, build our houses, raise our children. We pay to transport ourselves wherever we want to go. We depend on someone else to keep us healthy and to fix us when we're broken. We need gadgets and gizmos galore, to make life easier and give us more time to go to work in order to make money to pay all of these people that do things for us.

That being said, I exhale as much carbon dioxide as I possibly can in exchange for the oxygen I need lol. Small payback, but hey.....it's a start! You're right, we cannot live without nature. Maybe in some futuristic world, but I won't be living then. I will be happy to feed the trees that have protected me my whole life through.

Yep, you say it well so nothing to add really.

Humans will meet an end eventually, all things end and to think otherwise is naive. The planet has been around for many millions of years, humans will not be...but neither you or I, or anyone else alive today, will be here to know that final moment.
