Match 13 - USA 1-2 Panama
In a tough and physical game USA put themselves at a disadvantage when Tim Weah was redcarded for striking out at Panama's Roderick Miller. Despite the disadvantage USA took the lead but Panama restored parity only four minutes after.
Panama used their one-player advantage to good effect and dominated play, while USA relied on counter-attacking opportunites. Finally Panama's pressure bore fruit and they took the lead in the 83rd minute. While Carrasquilla was sento off in the 88th minute to bring the sides level in playing numbers again, there wasn't enough time for a tired USA to utilise the extra space.
Match 14 - Uruguay 5-0 Bolivia
With their homeland undergoing an attempted military coup the day before it is safe to think Bolivia's players may have had events at home distracting them and their preparations. Uruguay pushed whatever advantage this gave them to the full. They scored in the 8th and 21st minutes, then another three goals in the second half for the biggest win of the tournament.
Such was Uruguay's dominance they limited Bolivia to just four shots, and four touches in the box. The 15 times winners will feel confident going in to their final match with hosts USA.
