Silver Lake in the Green Mountains near Brandon, Addison County, Vermont
Its an easy hike from Branbury State Park or Goshen Trailhead. There are also other more challenging, longer hikes that will get you to the lake. Rustic campsites are available in a small campground. A pair of loons usually nest on the lake. Motorized boats not allowed (I think) in any case you have to portage in any boats so there are seldom any boats on the lake. Good news for the loons 🙂
Sunrise at Lake Dunmore near Salisbury, Addison County, Vermont.
Lake Dunmore is a larger lake with a small public boat launch and marina. Also a State Park with a beach and campground. Pretty much everything you would expect at a small lake.
The sunrise was nice this morning with low clouds and some fog on the water.
