Evans leads WRC Rally Portugal 2025 after short super special stage

in Rally14 days ago (edited)

Hi, friends!

First full European gravel event of World Rally Championship, in Portugal, has started with the short super special stage in small city called Figueira da Foz, the same place where we had super special stage last year.

It is tricky and very narrow road with an artificial jump and lots of doughnuts, but it's great fan for public which was their in thousands, and i guess that was the same this evening.

Championship leader Elfyn Evans (Toyota) posted the fastest time in front of 2019 WRC champion Ott Tanak (Hyundai) while his team mate and eight-time WRC champion Seb Ogier posted 3rd fastest time.

As @driipam wrote in her post, Martinš Sesks was fastest at shakedown in Ford Puma Rally1 and it will be interesting to see how will be his performance during the whole event.

Real rally starts tomorrow with some brutal gravel stages but that's World Rally Championship and it must be this way.

Let the best win - as always...
