Greetings friends of the Hive Pets community, I hope you are very well. This time I come back to talk once again about Panquis, our cat with fluffy fur but she started to lose it without having something wrong with her skin, everything was very strange because she didn't have any allergy or any other disease that can cause her hair to fall out. It all started on the face and on one back leg and when we saw that the area without hair was getting bigger and bigger we consulted two veterinarians. The last doctor said that he had alopecia and the truth is that his diagnosis fit well for the reasons he explained to us. But first I am going to tell you about the first phase since the hair loss started.
Saludos amigos de la comunidad Hive Pets deseo que estén muy bien. Esta vez vuelvo para hablar una vez más de Panquis, nuestra gata de pelaje esponjoso pero que empezó a perderlo sin tener algo malo en su piel, todo era muy extraño porque no tenía ninguna alergia ni ninguna otra enfermedad que pueda provocar la caida de su pelo. Todo comenzó por la cara y en una pata de atras y cuando vimos que se fue agrandando el area sin pelo entonces consultamos a dos médicos veterinarios. El último médico dijo que tenía alopecia y la verdad es que encajaba bien su diagnóstico por las razones que nos explicó. Pero primero les voy a contar la fase número uno desde que empezó la caida del pelo.
Well Panquis has always had fluffy fur but she started to lose it, first there were signs on her face but we didn't see it as something serious because coincidentally for those days she had left the house and a cat attacked her, that was a distress because Panquis doesn't know how to fight and well the wounds were light, you know they were scratches and there was only a deeper one on her face, on her nose, but really the wounds healed without problems, everything seemed fine because the wounds we saw were not to worry although we were scared because her face was hurt. Well the scratches healed but the fur did not grow on that part of his face. Months went by and nothing new hair grew and the worst thing was that he was missing hair not only where he had the wounds. It was already strange because the normal thing is that the hair only falls out where there are wounds but it spread all over his face until his nose was hairless.
Bueno Panquis siempre ha sido de pelaje esponjoso pero empezó a perderlo, primero había señales en su cara pero no lo vimos como algo serio porque casualmente por esos días ella se había salido de la casa y un gato la atacó, eso fue una angustia porque Panquis no sabe pelear y bueno las heridas eran leves, ya saben eran rasguños y solo había uno más profundo en la cara, en su nariz, pero realmente las heridas se sanaron sin problemas, todo parecía bien porque las heridas que vimos no eran para preocuparse aunque si nos asustamos porque tenía la cara herida. Bueno los rasguños sanaron pero no le creció el pelaje en esa parte de la cara. Los meses pasaban y nada que le nacia el pelo nuevo y lo peor es que le faltaba el pelo no solo donde tenía las heridas. Ya era extraño todo esto porque lo normal es que solo se le caiga el pelo donde hay heridas pero se extiendió por su rostro hasta quedar la nariz sin pelo.
The truth is that we had a passive concern for Panquis and that is that in one of his paws he was also losing hair. That was even weirder and well we thought that maybe he had a blow there during the fight and that the skin was inflamed by a hematoma and that's why he lost the hair also in that part of the paw but the hair loss was increasing and the area without hair was growing.
La verdad es que teníamos una preocupación pasiva por Panquis y es que en una de sus patas también estaba perdiendo pelo. Eso estaba más raro aún y bueno pensamos que a lo mejor tuvo un golpe allí durante la pelea y que la piel se inflamó por un hematoma y por eso perdió el pelo también en esa parte de la pata pero fue aumentando la caida del pelaje y el area sin pelo fue creciendo.
Well, when we came to the conclusion that what Panquis had was alopecia, we were sad thinking that she would be totally bald. The strange thing is that her alopecia was not due to anything wrong with her skin, she did not have irritated skin or any kind of rashes or blisters, so her skin looked clean and healthy. But it turns out that her alopecia could be due to depression and yes, she is a very nervous cat, she is sensitive, very shy and also in a bad mood, understand that she prefers to be alone while her sister Waffles is the opposite and Panquis avoids joining the game.
Bueno, cuando se llega a la conclusión de que lo que tenía Panquis era alopecia nos quedamos tristes pensando que quedaría totalmente calva. Lo raro es que su alopecia no era por nada malo en su piel, no tenía la piel irritada ni ningún tipo de ronchas, ni ampollas, o sea que se veia una piel limpia y sana. Pero resulta que su alopecia podía ser por depresión y si, ella es una gata muy nerviosa, ella es sensible, muy tímida y también de mal humor, entiendan que prefiere estar sola mientras su hermana Waffles es todo lo contrario y Panquis evita unirse al juego.
Where we lived there was a yard and one day they are at the window watching a man who came to make a repair and Waffles wants to leave the house but Panquis only looks out the window, she is not interested in moving from her post. She gets very scared, the typical thing that happens when you are nervous. Poor Panquis suffers from a lot of anxiety.
Donde viviamos había patio y un día están en la ventana viendo a un señor que fue para hacer una reparación y Waffles quiere salir de la casa pero Panquis solo mira por la ventana, no le interesa moverse de su puesto. Ella se asusta mucho, lo típico que pasa cuando eres nervioso. Pobre Panquis, sufre de mucha ansiedad.
Panquis is very different, we know that expenses last a lot but she likes to sleep almost 24 hours a day, this is more than normal.
Panquis es muy diferente, sabemos que los gastos durmen mucho pero a ella le gusta dormir casi las 24 horas del día, esto es más de lo normal.
She wakes up to eat and that's it, she activates next to her sister Waffles waiting for the food but keeping the distance :) as you can see in the gif.
Ella se despierta para comer y listo, se activa junto a su hermana Waffles esperando la comida pero cuidando la distancia :) como ven en el gif.
Duty done, he goes back to sleep. Is it a cat or laziness? Panquis always worries us because of the way she is and now we understand that she is a depressed cat.
Cumplido el deber se vuelve a dormir. Es un gato o una pereza? Panquis siempre nos preocupa por su forma de ser y ahora entendemos que ella es una gata deprimida.
Ah! before going to sleep she likes to knead the blanket, it's a ritual and I imagine it relaxes her :)

The vet recommended that I buy another food, a special one to prevent her hair from falling out more. Well, I did it and it kind of helped her at first or it was just my ideas but then I see that everything stayed the same, her hair was falling out and in another day I will show you more about Panquis' alopecia so you can see how it increased :(
El veterinario recomendó que le compre otro alimento, uno especial para evitar que se le caiga más el pelo. Bueno lo hice y como que si la ayudó al principio o eran ideas mias pero luego veo que todo siguó igual, su pelo se caía y en otro día les mostraré más de sobre la alopecia de Panquis para que vean como aumentó :(
