Hello everyone here in ladies of hive community ☺️ how are you all doing? It is so good to be back again to this weeks edition.
Thank you @trucklife-family for this week's topic's
*Do you believe that we are happier today, than we were in times gone by?
*What brings true happiness and how important is it to you, to pursue it?
Happiness is said to be a state of well-being and contentment or a satisfying experience
To tell the truth, everyone, human wants and needs never end. There is no limit to the things we want and need. Today, we may want an ice cream or a new bicycle, and tomorrow, we may want to drive a car or build a house. When I was growing up at age twelve, my parents didn't have much, and I never had what girls my age had. Those flashy and fancy things girls my age had, like I wanted a bicycle when I was twelve, but my parents weren't financially okay at that time. So I gave up the thought of getting a bicycle, and I didn't even bother learning how to ride one from my peers. Though I wished that I was like them and my parents provided me with everything I asked for, but even at age twelve, I was grateful to them for trying their best to provide my necessary needs, which were education, food, clothes, and shelter. Now, I am all grown up with my own life, responsibilities and family, working hard to provide for my son to give him the best, surrounded by genuine love and peace of mind.
Though there are some ups and downs, experiencing the love I have with my spouse and my beloved son is more than anything I can ever ask for. I have learned to be contented and satisfied with my every experience. Indeed, I am happier today than I was in times gone by.
Someone can have all the money and whatever their heart wants in the world and still not be happy. It takes discipline to achieve contentment; true happiness comes from being content with whatever you have. Once you are content, you will be fulfilled and happy.
