QMC 2024 - Virginia Food Cook-Off Challenge

Hi Everyone! It's been a week since my last update. I've been extremely busy with a lot of things lately including my journey to the crown. Yes, we have so many activities which includes charity visit, sponsor visit and just yesterday we had our cook-off challenge which is made possible with Virginia. One of the reason why Queen Mother of Cebu the pageant is a unique pageant for mothers not only that all mothers can join no matter the size, height, shape or their status but also instead of the normal talent portion that pageantry is used to they made it a cook off challenge instead where the moms will showcase their cooking skills. Awesome right? It's quite challenging on my part since there's a budget to follow and I don't really cook that often. Good thing that it is made possible with the products that Virginia offered.

We were all amazed and extremely full yesterday with the food that we prepared. Since I wanted to cook something that my daughter loves I opted with their crunchy chicken poppers. I just made a simple dish which I called the Korean style chicken poppers. I will blog on how to prepare it on my next post. For now, I just want to give you a preview of the dishes that my co-candidates have prepared. There were two charcuterie board full of sausages, hotdogs, hams and cookies. Some also prepared spaghetti and lasagna while others have prepared taco bells with hotdog fillings, sausage with sauce, vietnamese rolls with korean Bulgogi filling, curry, chicken with pineapple and many more.

Our dish were judge based on uniqueness and flavour. The top three dishes were the lasagna, chicken with pineapple and the charcuterie board with spaghetti. Aside from the food tasting the residents from Apas Gym were invited over for a raffle which made it more meaningful as well. Queen Mother of Cebu outshines other pageants because of their mission to give back to the Community which I admire so much. My recipe may not be chosen as one of the winners that day but my tummy and my heart was full because I know that we made people happy.

Indeed, this remarkable journey inspires me more to be a better individual. Also, I would like to invite everyone here in Cebu to watch the pageant on May 11, 2024 at IEC Convention Center. Tickets is now available just pm me on facebook!
