Last Wednesday was my 67th birthday. I am ever thankful to the Lord for the gift of life! There are only 5 of us at home so my daughter opted for us to celebrate my birthday at night after her duty at the hospital and Antonia will be home then plus her husband will be off by 9 PM. Only me and my grandson were left at home hence that was the best available time for us to be together. We went to our favourite place at McDonald's situated at the center of the city where people of all ages stroll after a hard day's work either from school or from their respective working places.
We took our orders (spaghetti, chicken joy & french fries). We were allowed to bring our orders to the cafe which was only at the adjacent room. The ambience is more private at you can smell the aroma of the coffee as you open the door. Just the kind of place I'd love to visit because coffee makes my day! My daughter knows that I will like the place. I feel loved!
Beside the wall is a mini gallery where several paintings were displayed for sale. I told Antonia that we can do better than those on display and we have the materials. My daughter said that she will buy a canvas and make our own to be displayed in our own sala.
We took souvenir photos while waiting for our orders. Of course, I ordered my favourite creamy latte while Antonia had her cold coffee machiatto with Oreo.
Oh WOW! I said: I love them all!
And since it's my birthday, my daughter decided to buy a taste of each. Well, I have my maintenance since I am already on the borderline during my last lab check up which needs a close observation of my sugar intake. Nevertheless, my cravings were satisfied plus my coffee latte made it complete!:)
Since we were already full, we decided to bring home the Shakey's pizza brought by my son-in-law.
It was a simple celebration but filled with love. We don't need to order more which is beyond what our stomach can tackle which is a waste of money. Anyways, We can cook yummy recipes on the following day instead of heating leftovers!
I cooked their favourite Hamonado the following day.
My daughter prepared her special Pochero the day after.:)
See, it's saving money and enjoying the food at the right moment. Though in Canlaon, we prepare more for our church people since they do a serenade at early morning.
This is my selfie on my 67th birthday. I am ever thankful that I've reached this far despite all the hardships and challenges we've been through.
