Brown pansy butterfly

in Nature Observer2 days ago

In the silence of the morning, I managed to find a brown pansy butterfly perched on a cluster of yellow euphorbia flowers. She was standing there very quietly. Both of her wings were perfectly spread out. When the sunlight shone on her body, her aura of beauty radiated even more, shining like a natural gem.

In Latin, this butterfly is known as Junonia hedonia, which is one of the beautiful medium-sized butterflies from the Nymphalidae family. This butterfly is also one of the butterflies that is considered perfect in terms of camouflage. The base color of the butterfly is brownish orange decorated with characteristic black lines. At the tip of its wings there is a black circle that resembles an eye. It is a tool to scare the enemy.

At first glance, I was almost fooled by her costume, very similar to a dry leaf. I thought it was a dry leaf stuck to the flower. I almost missed an extraordinary moment. From this butterfly we can understand that nature always has its own way to show its wonders. But it all depends on all of us, to enjoy it or just let it pass.
