Okay, let's talk about the general situation first. Whenever there are new series coming out, there is few things that we should be aware of :
#1. First thing is the new set for the modern league. As we all know, the set that allowed for the modern league is only the latest 2 series (plus it's mini series). At this point, we will no longer be able to use the Chaos Legion edition on the modern league once the conclave arcana is released. So, be prepared for new strategy, and be carefull of sudden price drop of the CL edition !
#2. New great ability and counter for the current META will come ! Yeah, this is the part of the sales strategy, if it's all weaker, why player should buy the new packs, right ? So let's be prepare for it !

Conclave Arcana Bring Huge Addition to The Game

Unlike to usual edition which only bring new abilities, conclave arcana is totally changed the game !

The most thing that attract my attention is the Summoners that are rebranded as Archons, which are powerful entities with a new things called Bloodline Dominion. This ability provides bonuses to cards sharing the same bloodline (race) as the Archon, regardless of their element. This encourages players to build teams around bloodline synergies, mixing units from different elements. It's totally unfamiliar and I think we all need times to try before finally understand this archon things. But I'm very sure this will affect the game so much !

How Conclave Arcana Will Changed My Strategy

Not only about the archon things, Conclave Arcana is also introduced some new ability which will make the game even more interesting !

Bloodline Tribute: When defeated, all allied units of the same bloodline gain +1 health, speed, and armor and +1 power to each shared attack type.

First the bloodline tribute, I think it will works like the martyr, but can affect all the team as long as they are on the same bloodline ! Imagine 5 monster getting the martyr effect ! What about on the reborn ruleset ? Wow !

Resurgence: Self-resurrects once per battle with 100% health and armor. All magic debuffs are removed, and all magic buffs are reapplied. Skips turn. Deals 1 physical damage to all units.

Next the resurrection buth instead with 1 health, it's coming with full health ! You can imagine we are trying so hard to beat a giant just to see it comes back with fully health ?

Relentless Strike: Attacks deal true damage. Phase and Dodge do not reduce chance to hit.
Now this is another cool ability. True hit plus the true damage effect which avoid the damage reduce ability !

Bloodline Dominion: You can summon any unit of the same bloodline as this archon, regardless of element.

I'm not sure how this works, can we get the option to summon different element as long as it's on same bloodline ? Or it's applied when the match is started ? But summoning a monster is sounds very usefull for me

All those abilities would force all players to adapt, include myself. I will try to get my playing style after seeing each abilities effect. Surely the new edition cards are needed to stay competitive on the game !

My Goal Ahead

I'm thinking about try my luck on getting the pack, especially with the new black foil cards which on the max level ! It would be very awesome and usefull ! But let's see, I also think about get to know about the monsters is better then pick the monster that suit my playing style and get them from market instead gambling on the pack.

Conclussion

Conclave Arcana will change the gameplay a lot, especially with new archon and bloodline system. New abilities are also introduced and players need to adapt in order to stay competitive !
