Good afternoon friends. As we all know l, we are in the season of love and we are supposed to spread love as much as we can. Love costs no dime ane when I say love, it does not necessarily have to be between a man and woman at all time. It can be between you and your friends, family and so much more. There are many ways we can spread love or at least show that we care for other people even without giving them money. I know so many people think giving or receiving money is the only way to show or prove that someone loves you. In the Hive Learners community, we were asked to tell one good deed that we can do for someone and it does not necessarily have to be monetary. As for me, that one good deed I can do in this season is…
Checking on my friends
This may sound easy or little but it means a lot and that’s why I usually appreciate people when they check on me. There are so many of our friends who may be depressed but while checking their statuses, we’d think they are happy just because they are posting memes.
Just like me, I was depressed for over a month and I think that’s what added to my illness but I had people who checked on me because they knew exactly what happened to me and I know how important that is.
Also, there are so many people who are down and need motivational words to put them up so doing that for my friends costs me nothing and I think it is an act of kindness in one or the other. And when I want to check on them, it does not have to be about gossips all the time like we mostly do as girls. It may be how we’ve been throughout the year and how to do better. Sharing thoughts and thinking of the way forward. Checking on those who are down and letting them know that there is no phase that cannot be settled.
I think that’s just one good deed that I can do before this year ends and I’m surely going to do it. I love myself and I put myself first in anything I’m doing. Before checking on my friends, I’d check on myself first. It may be funny but some people don’t check on themselves and they don’t know how well they are doing. They are just there like people without a direction. Some of us have not even checked on ourselves this year so we gotta do that and the good deed of checking on people is going to start from me to me.
That’s what I plan to do before the year runs out and I hope I get to do it. I’m mostly busy but I’d make sure that I do it to keep the promise that I have made on here by checking on my friends.
What about you? Is there one good deed you can do for people before the year runs out?
