BlackRock
BlackRock rules the world, that is something that is said a lot, and I somewhat can follow that statement.
They are in charge of most of the wealth in the world, so their view on things influences just about everything.
Now, Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and stated over there that he sees 700K Bitcoin as a real possibility.
For him, there is just one change necessary for that to happen. If sovereign wealth funds and large investors allocate 2 to 5 % if their portfolio to Bitcoin, then automatically the price would head towards the 700K target.
Digital Gold
Larry Fink, who changed from a disbeliever in Bitcoin to a Bitcoin advocate states that we need to view Bitcoin as a form of Digital Gold, a safe haven, where wealth can be preserved for devaluating currencies. A very different view than what he said several years ago. But one I can see as a reality.
Disbelievers say that Bitcoin can't scale to that volume, the transaction limit is too low, etcetera... But in my opinion those are all things that can be settled by soft forks.
If BlackRock says it will happen, the chances are pretty big!
Sincerely,
