Politics is a very important profession or role in the society, it has to deal with how a group of people or community is being govern or lead.
To a layman terms politics can be defined any activities put in place to run a government. Or just say anything that deals with ruling a set of people or community.
I have always been intrigued by the idea of being the president of Nigeria, I am from Nigeria. Politics in Nigeria is a very Crazy business. Some people called politics a dangerous game, others called it a dirty game because a lot of politicians don't have the people at heart all they care about is their Stomach. Politicians are people that engages in political activities. Most of the politicians are very cunny, tricky, wicked in their dealings.
The last election was nothing to write home about, some many abnormalities, so many bloodshed, so many rigging and votes buying, Even the current president, there are a lot of uncertainty and abnormalities in his election and voting process.
The unfortunate state of the Nigerian politics says so much on how messed up it is.
During the 2019 elections i was one of the election officer, i was the Head of the Polling Team.
There are 3 people in the team, Assistant Polling Officer 1 (A.P.O.1) , Assistant Polling Officer 2 (A.P.O.2) and Polling Officer (P.O). I was The polling Officer then, this was because i was still a corper then, and every corper serving the state in that particular local government is automatically converted to the Polling Officer. The polling officer is incharge of all the election materials, in charge of controlling the Polling unit and organisation and distribution of materials. I was posted to a ward, Mba wanyan of the Konshisha Local Government Area.
We were posted to the Polling Unit, very early on the day of election, people came and voted and in the evening when we were to count and collate people votes, some unknown Gun men, came from every angle, carried away the ballot boxes, they even disarmed the two police officers, the only fortunate thing was that no body was hurt.
The next day election results came out and the political Party who sent those thugs and Gunmen were declared winner. It was so Ridiculous.
Have i Ever held any political post? And would i love to pursue a political career
I was opportuned to be Honoured as the chairman of the youth in Gungul area of Konshisha, but i rejected the offer, i don't like the way politics is being run in the Area, in fact in Nigeria as a country. Many things influence politics here, starting from Godfatherism, violence, Rival Groups and many other issues,
This brought me to the conclusion that I would never pursue a political career, especially in Nigeria.
If in other working Country, i can try but not Nigeria.

I would love to stop the following practices
vote buying: most of the times, politicians buy votes by many ways, sometimes the give voters money to vote for them, sometimes the share some food items just to buy them to vote for them. This has been a age long practice in Nigerian politics.
Godfatherism Each of the Politicians have a kind of Godfather, Area Fathers that controls them. I would stop this if i had the chance.
Encourage digital voting : if i had the chance i would use a more advanced style of voting, the digital voting is a form of Real time, transparent voting system that cant be compromised by any polical groups
Here are just some of the things i would love to change in the political practices in My country, If i am opportuned to be a Political Leader.
