I have always enjoyed working, because it is the way you can support yourself or get what you want. Work is very important throughout the year, but many jobs are a priority at Christmas, which is why I have been working very hard during this period. When I started in the world of serious, stable jobs, so to speak, I had to work on Christmas and other important holidays like December 24 and 31, which were very busy for everyone, although I can say that it was a way to feel satisfied with what you were doing. I started working when I was 18; at that time, I was in college, and although I had everything I needed at home, I liked to have my own money, so I alternated my studies with work. At that time, I started working at the textile company El Castillo in Cumaná, Sucre state. At that job, I had to work on the 24th and 31st in the store, although not until late, only during Christmas shifts, which meant we left early, and that somehow kept me going, even though those days in the store were tough. Even so, I would come home, take a shower, relax, and go out with my friends and my boyfriend at the time, who is no longer with us today.

After that job, I started my classes more intensely and quit, but then I worked seasonally. However, in 2015, I started working as a waitress with a very good group in the city, where we served large companies in the city for their end-of-year or Christmas parties. This was very exhausting, but the reward was good. Those days I would come home very sore and tired, with no energy for anything else, and even though I love Christmas, there were days when I would go out late with my friends to enjoy myself. After I graduated and started working in education, things changed because I have a student schedule and days off, especially the important ones, such as December 24 and 31, so I can say that those dates are good nowadays, and today I am officially on vacation.

Siempre me ha gustado trabajar, porque es la manera que tienes de poder sostenerte o para poder tener lo que quieres. El trabajo es muy importante durante todo el año, pero muchos de ellos son prioridad en las Navidades y es por eso que he trabajado en estos días muy fuerte. Cuando empecé en el mundo de mis trabajos serios y estables, por así decirlo, me tocó trabajar en Navidad y en días festivos muy relevantes como 24 y 31, los cuales eran de mucha fuerza para todos, aunque puedo decir que era una manera de poder estar satisfecha por lo que hacías. Les cuento que empecé a trabajar cuando tenía 18 años; para ese entonces estaba en la universidad y, aunque no me faltaba nada en casa, me gustaba tener lo mío, por eso alternaba mis estudios con el trabajo. Para ese entonces empecé a trabajar en la empresa de telas textil El Castillo en Cumaná, estado Sucre. En ese trabajo me tocó estar los días 24 y 31 en tienda, aunque no hasta tarde, solo en turnos navideños, es decir, que salíamos temprano y eso de alguna u otra forma me mantuvo bien, aunque esos días en esa tienda eran fuertes. Aun así, llegaba a casa, me bañaba, me relajaba y me iba para que mis amigos y quien era mi novio en ese tiempo, que hoy en día no está con nosotros.


Después de ese trabajo, empecé más fuerte mis clases y lo dejé, pero entonces trabajaba en temporadas, pero justamente a partir del 2015 empecé a trabajar como mesonera con un grupo muy bueno de la ciudad, donde se prestaba servicio a grandes compañías de la ciudad para sus fiestas de fin de año o Navidad. Esto sí me agotaba mucho, pero la recompensa era buena. Esos días sí llegaba muy adolorida y cansada, que no daba chance a nada, y aunque amo la Navidad, había días que salía tarde con mis amistades a disfrutar. Después de que me gradué y empecé a trabajar en educación, la cosa ha cambiado, porque esto es horario estudiantil y tengo días libres, más que todo los importantes, como 24 y 31 de este mes de diciembre, así que puedo decir que hoy en día esas fechas son buenas, y hoy estoy oficialmente de vacaciones.
