It's a scary world we live in. I don't like that they are trying to normalize eugenics again. Alberta only got rid of there forced sterilization program in 1972. Back then Alberta was the eugenics capital of Canada. To this day Alberta has a form of eugenics. I'm just glad we are not as bad as we once were.
They went as far as to sterilize children at the time from what I have seen. My fear is that machine learning models will become the next wave of attempted social engineering. People increasingly look for some algorithm to make decisions for them. The atrocities caused by humans using "AI" could be as big as the atrocities humans committed with genetics without even barely understanding how genes work.
Yep they sterilized anyone that was a burden on the system now we are killing them. Back then they called it positive eugenics and negative eugenics. What we kept for positive eugenics is we pay people to have children. For negative eugenics they don't inform you the risks associated with being A-, B-, AB-, O-. And that classification can get even smaller. The - blood type is only 15% of the population of the world and not compatible with the + blood type. Which can result in death. It's impossible to find accurate information on the - blood type online. If you don't know what to look for word for word you may not find it. I find more conspiracy over fact.
That is my concern as well. We don't need to put AI in everything!
