Continuing with the series of Meher Baba and Meherabad retreat, today let's visit the place where Meher Baba lived with his family which included 2 main members his wife and sister.
From the Samadhi place there is a bus that goes every day in the morning to his residence place which is called as Meherazad. This is again free of cost. The institution receives donation and from that they maintain this whole place. There are volunteers here from across the world who manage this place and also act as tour guides. They take you around the place telling you about Baba's life and the miracles he performed.

I arrived at the Residence in their bus transport and here I was greeted by the volunteers.

As I walk through his home, I actually felt like he was present there and looking at me going through his residence
The bedroom of his beloved wife and sister. He stayed in a separate room from them. On the bed pictures of both these ladies are kept and flower offerings are made.

A peak into his kitchen
It must be such a divine experience to connect with a person like him. His teachings said that we are all a part of the Infinite, "The only Real Existence is that of the One and only God Who is the Self in every (finite) self", "To love God in the most practical way is to love our fellow beings. If we feel for others in the same way as we feel for our own dear ones, we love God." There are many such divine messages which are so much full of Love for others and self. As much as he was loving he was also a task master, that's what his followers say. People who followed him had to let go off attachments to their worldly pleasures.
He created a small world of his own for himself and his disciples. His disciples loved him deeply and madly, and even after he is gone, they have the same faith, affection towards him. He created a very strong bond with his followers and made everyone fall in love with him and the Universe. Tomorrow let's look at the final part of the place, which is the nature of Meherabad.
