White storks are fairly large birds, standing about 1 to 1.25 meters tall with a wingspan of up to just over 2 meters. Long legs and a long beak make this bird fairly distinct. Its long wingspan allows the bird to soar quite well, and it flaps in a slow and deliberate fashion to build momentum. It has a wide range across central and eastern Europe and into North Africa. 25 percent of their population is in Poland and can even be found in Central Asia.
