Stay Ahead Of The Curve ;Tech Is Taking Over!!

I wouldn't say there's any bad course to study because every course is important and has a role to play in society. But some courses are not just worth studying for years. In my country here in Nigeria, there are some courses you will study and after graduation, you'll end up frying puff puff or find yourself without a job.
AI is taking over and tech is growing so fast that in the next couple of years, some courses would be so irrelevant, and let me remind you that to Japa is not easy at all
.

The last time I applied to the university, I was given admission, but not the desired course I applied for. I applied for nursing and I was given admission to study Fisheries. I was so angry I almost cried when they gave me the course. Imagine going to learn how to train fish in uni for four whole years, hahaha.
Farming is something I know how to do very well, and also fishing is something my family has been doing for a lot of years, so why would I study how to train fish for four years, when I can just go to my uncle's place and learn how to? Some courses are not just worth your four years and money.
Here are some courses that I think are getting irrelevant as the day goes by and aren't worth studying.

Zoology is one course I wouldn't advise anyone to study here in Nigeria. "You go sweat before you go see work" unless you want to further and then after travel overseas to get a job, which is not easy at all. There's a 90% chance that you might not get a job in that field.

Business Administration
I honestly think this course is becoming so irrelevant as the day goes by. Most Bus admin graduates I know right now are currently running a business and just finding a way to survive. The highest is that one might get a teaching job, and that's It, or work as a cashier, for which the pay is quite low.
There are so many irrelevant courses out there and I could go on and on about them.

My advice is to Study what will make you relevant in years to come globally, some courses are becoming so irrelevant that getting a job is hard, not just any job but a good one.
All the people who studied relevant courses like medicine, nursing, and engineering are suffering and finding it hard to get a good job, yet it's fisheries and zoology you want to study, hahaha. Anyway, good luck with your chosen path. And yes there are so many opportunities abroad, but it's not easy to get there.
Just study something that will at least be easy to get a job with, and also, in years to come, it will still be relevant. Most importantly, do not let anyone rush or force you into studying any irrelevant course unless you're from a fortunate home with lots of connections (not just any connections but reliable ones)

If you're already in uni studying a course that you know is irrelevant, just continue, and if you have the money to further, go for your master's and PhD. Don't just stop with your certificate
Don't just rush into school because you feel you're getting old or you're tired of staying at home; take your time because if you study an irrelevant course, you'll find yourself jumping from one job to the other at the age of 50 and nobody wants that.
And lastly, get a good skill. Whether you're studying a relevant course or an irrelevant one, just get a skill that will help you because nobody knows tomorrow.

From nursing to fish farming, I don't know if these Nigerian University staff I don't know if they don't take their time to study the documents of potential students; they just throw you anywhere they like.

When I saw fishing and remembering the part of Nigeria you'm are... Isn't that garnishing your fishing knowledge with the school way if you go and learn fisheries in school?😏
