I have to say, the portraits I shared in my last post brought back a bit of nostalgia, because fashion photography isn’t something I do as often as I used to. Even though I still collaborate with some designers from time to time, this type of photography has become much more expensive due to the production it requires. And with the current economy here and the whole “big business” side of things, it’s gotten a bit harder to pull off projects like this.

So today, I want to share with you some photos that, even though they’re a few years old, I didn’t want to keep from you — because this was my first professional fashion shoot in a studio. It was my first job after Covid in 2020, and it’s a session I hold really close to my heart because it was filled with so many “firsts.” It was my first time working with studio lighting, and also my first time shooting with a professional model.

I had seen Rocío’s previous work before, and I have to say that I totally loved the vibe she brought to her images. Before we started shooting, we talked about what the designer wanted for the pieces, and she carried herself with such impressive naturalness. I barely had to guide her 🤩

I also worked with Heisher on art direction and Gio on makeup, both of whom I’d collaborated with before. In this case Gio chose a fantasy makeup look that blended perfectly with all the accessories.

Even though it was a workday, I truly enjoyed it, and how could I not, with such an amazing team? You can’t deny that chemistry really makes a difference in this kind of work.

I hope you enjoyed these images. And as the title says, this is just part one, because Rocío came with another special person whom I also photographed. But I won’t spoil it here, so if you want to know, you’ll have to come back again 😊

Hola, hola, hivers 👋🏾 espero tengan un excelente comienzo de semana. Ya casi están aquí los días festivos 🎉

Les cuento que los retratos que les traje en mi última publicación me trajeron un poco de nostalgia porque la fotografía fashion es algo que ya no hago tanto como antes. Aunque es cierto que aún sigo colaborando con algunos diseñadores, este tipo de fotografía se encarece mucho por la producción que lleva y como está la economía ahora mismo por acá junto a los "grandes negocios", se hace un poco difícil realizar este tipo de trabajo.
Entonces, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes unas fotografías que aunque tienen unos cuantos añitos, no quería dejar de mostrárselas porque fue la primera sesión de fotos fashion profesional que hice en estudio. Fue mi primer trabajo luego de la Covid en 2020 y es una sesión a la que le tengo muchísimo cariño porque está llena de primeras veces. Fue mi primera vez trabajando con luces de estudio y además con una modelo profesional.

Ya había visto trabajos anteriores de Rocío y tengo que decir que me encantaba la vibra de su imagen. Antes de comenzar estuvimos hablando sobre lo que quería el diseñador de las piezas y supo desenvolverse con una naturalidad impresionante. Apenas tuve que guiarla 🤩

Trabajé también con Heisher en la dirección de arte y Gio, maquillista con los que sí ya había compartido anteriormente. En esta ocasión Gio optó por usar un maquillaje de fantasía que combinaba a la perfección con todos los accesorios.

A pesar de que fue un día de trabajo disfruté muchísimo, y cómo no hacerlo con semejante equipazo. No se puede negar que la química en este tipo de trabajo ayuda muchísimo.

Espero hayan disfrutado de estas imágenes y como leyeron en el título esta es solo una primera parte porque Rocío llegó acompañada de una personita también especial a la que también le hice fotografías. Pero no quiero adelantar nada así que si quieren saber tendrán que volver a pasarse por acá 😊
