Insects
With around one million known species and between 6 and 30 million species not yet described, insects are not only the most diverse group of animals on the planet, but also the most numerous, estimated to represent more than 90% of the life forms that inhabit the Earth.
Experts believe, moreover, that there are about 200 million insects for every human being, the vast majority of which live on land, although some have their habitat in aquatic environments.
A few weeks ago, while I was in the back parking lot of the building where I live, I started to browse through the bushes of the planters that are there, finding these insects, a situation that I took advantage of to photograph them before they fled or hid when they noticed my proximity.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Con alrededor de un millón de especies conocidas y entre 6 y 30 millones de especies aún no descritas, los insectos son el grupo de animales, no sólo más diverso del planeta, sinó también el mas numeroso, estimándose que representarían más del 90% de las formas de vida que habitan la Tierra.
Los expertos creen, por otra parte, que existen unos 200 millones de insectos por cada ser humano, la gran mayoría de los cuales, viven en el ámbito terrestre, aunque algunos tienen su hábitat en medios acuáticos.
Hace unas semanas atrás mientras me encontraba en el estacionamiento posterior del edificio donde vivo, me puse a curiosear entre los arbustos de las jardineras que están ahí, encontrándome con estos insectos, situación que aproveché para fotografiarlos antes de que huyesen o se escondieran al advertir mi cercanía.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
