Snapshots and Stories: Capturing the Essence of the Aba International Trade Fair!

Hello friends, welcome back to my blog. Hope you had a great day. Phew!, what a busy day it was for me. But it didn't end without some fun and excitement by the side, lol.

As I mentioned in my previous post, the Aba International Trade Fair is currently ongoing in my city at Aba Mega Mall Osisioma. I'm excited to share my experience from Day 6 of the event.

Contrary to the low turnout on the earlier days, today's event was buzzing with activity! More vendors, companies, and organizations set up their stalls, showcasing a wide range of products from fashion to food, groceries and wide range of motor oils.

Each local government in Abia state had its own pavilion, adding a touch of local flavor to the event.

I was impressed by the variety of goods on display, fruits, local foods and the likes.

Agro-farmers showed up too.

I couldn't help capturing this masterpiece - a farm cake or is it castle? It's so beautiful. People can be so creative with simple things. I see this farmer as a very intentional person.

Banks, courier and insurance companies were there too.

Automobile companies were not left out as they showcased a wide range of their vehicles. Beautiful, custom made cars. Oh, how I wish I could get one as a Christmas gift. Santa, where are you? Hope you've taken note of my wish? 😂

My organization, Magic 102.9FM, were not left out. As one of the official partners of the trade fair, we were equally on ground to transmit the event live and also get every interested business to have their products or services advertised on the radio.

As we got to the fair this morning, I was impressed with the turn out. After setting up our equipment, I and another colleague moved out for the business of the day. We went from stall to stall, prospecting, chatting and interviewing some vendors and attendees too. Some of the vendors said the turn out was very encouraging and that it has boosted their sales. The attendees equally expressed their happiness at snagging good deals. I was super excited to learn that people were appreciative of the ongoing fair. We were able to get some clients who did business with us, like we did with them too. That's mutual benefits or rather, a win-win situation, hehehe.

Companies were offering lots of freebies and discounts for any purchase made. "Am-good Stars Foam" offered 5% for any product purchased.

I visited Oris Group Ltd and bought these beautiful foot wears. Their prizes are moderate.

This is for my dad, bought it ₦600

For mom, and her girl, sold at ₦500 each

That's a total of ₦1,600 ($0.96). If only they were accepting HBD, I would have claimed my discount from Distriator. Well I told the sales rep. about Hive and SpendHbd project and he said that I'll need visit their company and speak with the persons in charge. Let's see how it goes.

The big one was from "Abia Pay". They are in-charge of registering and issuing of ABSSIN - Abịa State Social Identification Number identification to every indigene of Abịa State. They organized daily raffle draw and everyone who register is entitled to gift(s). I've long planned to go get mine but chance hasn't proven itself so seeing them at the fair was a good opportunity to get registered. After that, I was given a ticket and told to come back later in the day for the raffle draw.

Fortunately I got this beautiful water bottle and a pen.

One of my colleagues won an Oraimo power bank. I was actually the one who encouraged her to get registered and she got lucky! They plan on having the grand finale of the draw on Saturday 7th, which is the last day of the fair. Hopefully, I'll win a bigger prize. How I love freebies, lol.

As the fair continues, I'm eagerly anticipating a bigger turnout, with more people enjoying massive discounts and having a blast! I'm expecting more fun, more excitement, and more of everything that makes this trade fair an unforgettable experience!
I'm expecting to see you too! 😅
