For some people, socks are an everyday essential. But for others, they're so much more - a fashion statement, a comfort booster, or even a quirky conversation starter. Whether you're a sock enthusiast or just someone who appreciates a good pair, just know that socks are always a step in the right direction. They're stylish, and cozy and comfortable. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I say that "socks are treasures to own"
I had the luxury of socks as a kid - Barbie-themed, cartoon character socks, and all that fun stuff. Now, as an adult, I've never had a need for an extensive sock collection. I have just a collection of six pairs - three are black, two are beige colored, I guess, and one is white.
What's interesting is that they're all plain, with no fancy designs, stripes, or patterns - except for the white one, which has a small design of what looks like a kangaroo. More to that, they're all made from the finest of materials - cotton and blends.
I remember getting these white ankle socks when my choir was invited for a music festival. Our outfit for the event was white canvas, and I wanted to complete the look with matching socks. That's how I ended up getting them. Ever since then, whenever I wear the white canvas shoes, I always pair them with those white socks.
My feet look like they're going to do calisthenics. Oh the good old days! 😂
I've had these two knee-high socks for some years now. I got them the day I went to pick out some socks as gifts for my nieces. While shopping for theirs, their stunning colors caught my eye, and I ended up buying them for myself too!
I'd actually wanted black-colored socks, since I love the color black. However, the ones I saw weren't high-necked, so I ended up settling for the ones I got instead. I wear them during the rainy season and harmattan. You know, the weather gets chilly during these seasons, so the need to keep my feet warm becomes essential. Occasionally, if I'm outdoors in a mosquitoes infested area, I'll wear them to protect my legs.
This particular one has seen better days, and it's almost crying out for retirement! Sorry, Sockie, you know how comfy and warm you've kept my feet all this time 😅.
These "three musketeers" are my go-to socks for wearing with my canvas shoes and boot. I bought them at different times, and they're surprisingly durable and comfortable, having withstood repeated wear and washing.
The ankle socks was the last to join the musketeers, and I wear them mostly when I don't want my socks to be visible above my canvas shoes. You know, those shoes where you don't want the socks to show? That's when I opt for the ankle socks, which sit just below the ankle, giving out that sleek look vibe.
