I want to show you a walk that we took a few days ago, but that I had not been able to share with you, of a group of cheerful hivers girls, through the oldest part of Havana. It was a small getaway from an activity we attended, With her I join the #wednesdaywalk challenge, promoted by @tattoodjay
Walking along those cobblestone streets, we arrived at the corner where Amargura and Mercaderes streets intersect, right there we found the "Museo Casa del Chocolate". Without thinking twice, we headed there, since chocolate is one of the passions of Cubans.

Quiero mostrarles un paseo que realizamos, hace unos días, pero que no había podido compartir con ustedes, de un grupo de alegres chicas hivers, por la parte más antigua de La Habana. Fue una pequeña escapada de una actividad que asistimos, con ella me uno al reto #wednesdaywalk, promovido por @tattoodjay
Caminando por esas calles empedradas, llegamos a la esquina donde se cruzan las calles Amargura y Mercaderes, justo allí encontramos el "Museo Casa del Chocolate". Sin pensarlo dos veces, nos dirigimos allí, ya que el chocolate es una de las pasiones de los cubanos.
This museum functions as a cafeteria, which has always captivated me. You can enjoy delicious chocolate while the walls tell you the story of the origin of cocoa. It is incredible to think that it was introduced to the island by French settlers in 1540. Furthermore, the display cases and walls of the place become silent narrators, capturing the evolution of chocolate over time.
Este museo funcina como cafetería, lo que siempre me ha cautivado. Podrás disfrutar de un delicioso chocolate mientras las paredes te cuentan la historia del origen del cacao. Resulta increíble pensar que fue introducido en la isla por colonos franceses en 1540. Además, los vitrinas y paredes del lugar se convierten en narradores silenciosos, captando la evolución del chocolate a lo largo del tiempo.
Although the place was quiet due to the small number of customers, that was not a problem for us. That day, the cafeteria had very limited offerings. Although we would have loved to taste other specialties, the most important thing was to enjoy the meeting, so for us it was perfect, as we were able to chat about our projects and occupations, as well as enjoy a cheerful afternoon among Cuban hivers. We love to call ourselves cuhivers.
Aunque el local estaba tranquilo debido a la poca afluencia de clientes, eso no fue un problema para nosotros. Ese día, la cafetería tenía una oferta muy limitada. Aunque nos hubiera encantado degustar otras especialidades, lo más importante era disfrutar del encuentro, así que para nosotros fue perfecto, ya que pudimos charlar sobre nuestros proyectos y ocupaciones, además de disfrutar de una tarde alegre entre hivers cubanos. Nos encanta llamarnos cuhivers.
While we were tasting the delicious chocolate, we calmly contemplated the place, it was restored by the Office of the Historian and converted into a chocolate museum since 2003, that is, 20 years ago!
Dare to stop by this corner of Havana, although I know it is one of the most visited in the area, because of its history and that delicious chocolate. I hope that little by little their offer improves and presents the extensive menu that they had before, in which both Cubans and foreign tourists lined up just to taste those flavors.

Mientras degustábamos el delicioso chocolate, contemplamos tranquilamente el lugar, fue restaurado por la Oficina del Historiador y convertido en museo del chocolate desde 2003, es decir, ¡hace 20 años!
Animense a pasar por aquí este rincón de La Habana, aunque sé que es uno de los más visitados de la zona, por su historia y ese delicioso chocolate. Espero que poco a poco su oferta mejore y presente el extenso menú que tenían antes, en el que tanto cubanos como turistas extranjeros hacían fila solo para degustar esos sabores.
