Today I want to share with you a simple but profoundly beautiful experience I had with my mom. We left early in the morning to run some errands related to her paperwork. Over the past few days, we've taken advantage of the opportunity to run several errands together, and although it may seem routine or even tedious, for me it has been a restorative and meaningful experience. Being with her, watching her walk serenely, and chatting unhurriedly gives me peace, clarity, and a strength that I sometimes feel I lack when the days get busy.
The day was beautiful and along the way we found some flowers before arriving at the Notary's Office.

Espero que hayan disfrutado de un fin de semana maravilloso y celebrado un Día del Padre lleno de cariño, alegría y momentos memorables. Como les comenté, el mío fue especialmente conmovedor, y sinceramente espero que esta buena energía los haya acompañado al comenzar la semana con renovado entusiasmo y optimismo.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia sencilla pero profundamente hermosa que tuve con mi mamá. Salimos temprano por la mañana para hacer unos trámites. En los últimos días, hemos aprovechado para hacer varios recados juntas, y aunque pueda parecer rutinario o incluso tedioso, para mí ha sido una experiencia restauradora y significativa. Estar con ella, verla caminar serenamente y charlar sin prisas me da paz, claridad y una fuerza que a veces siento que me falta cuando los días se ponen ajetreados.
El día estaba hermoso y por el camino nos encontramos algunas flores antes de llegar a la Notaría.
Our destination was a notary's office located on 10th Street, between 19th and 15th, so we headed to the traditional corner of 12th and 23rd Streets in Vedado, the capital's capital. A place steeped in history and art, it's one of Vedado's most famous corners. To our pleasant surprise, the process was quick, efficient, and without any major setbacks, leaving us time and energy to pamper ourselves a little before returning home.
In a good mood this morning, we decided to walk down 12th Street. As we passed by La Crem de la Crem ice cream shop, we didn't hesitate: it was the perfect time to indulge in a sweet treat! Although I'd been there before, I'd never had the chance to take my mom, and I knew she'd love it. Upon arriving, I noticed they'd renovated the space: they'd installed a beautiful corner at the entrance filled with fresh flowers that I hadn't seen before, and the interior also looked more charming than ever, with a cozy and modern decor.
Nuestro destino era una notaría ubicada en la calle 10, entre las calles 19 y 15, así que nos dirigimos a la tradicional esquina de las calles 12 y 23 en el Vedado, la capital. Un lugar lleno de historia y arte, es una de las esquinas más famosas del Vedado. Para nuestra grata sorpresa, el proceso fue rápido, eficiente y sin mayores contratiempos, lo que nos dejó tiempo y energía para mimarnos un poco antes de regresar a casa.
Esta mañana, con buen humor, decidimos pasear por la calle 12. Al pasar por la heladería La Crem de la Crem, no lo dudamos: ¡era el momento perfecto para darnos un capricho dulce! Aunque ya había estado allí, nunca había tenido la oportunidad de llevar a mi madre, y sabía que le encantaría. Al llegar, me di cuenta de que habían renovado el local, habían instalado un precioso rincón en la entrada lleno de flores frescas que no había visto antes, y el interior también lucía más encantador que nunca, con una decoración acogedora y moderna.
We each ordered three scoops of ice cream, accompanied by a crispy guava pastry. I can't resist puff pastry, and my mom, with that knowing smile that melts me, happily accepted everything I chose for her. Her favorite flavors were always there: chocolate chip and Nutella. I added almond to my personal trio, and together they made a perfect combination.
We settled into a cozy little corner next to a charming jukebox. The place is clean, pleasant, and the service was very attentive. Both the ice cream and the sweets exceeded our expectations. It was a delicious experience, although I must admit the prices are high.

No me puedo resistir al hojaldre, y mi mamá, con esa sonrisa cómplice que me derrite, aceptó encantada todo lo que le elegí. Sus sabores favoritos siempre estuvieron presentes: chispas de chocolate y Nutella. Añadí almendra a mi trío personal, y juntos formaron una combinación perfecta.
Nos acomodamos en un rincón acogedor junto a una vitrola. El lugar es limpio, agradable y el servicio fue muy atento. Tanto el helado como los dulces superaron nuestras expectativas. Fue una experiencia deliciosa, aunque debo admitir que los precios son elevados.
Afterward, we continued our walk through the nearby famous portals, known for their flower sales, given their proximity to Havana's most emblematic cemetery. It was a perfect ending to a day in which, in addition to completing our errands, we shared valuable time that I will cherish.
Después, continuamos nuestro paseo por los famosos portales cercanos, conocidos por sus ventas de flores, dada su proximidad al cementerio más emblemático de La Habana. Fue un final perfecto para un día en el que, además de hacer nuestras diligencias, compartimos un tiempo valioso que atesoraré.
