I love the beach too but rather than sit back my adventurous style I may bring along my metal detector to comb the beach for metal items for fun. Finding coins, keys, bottle caps, a shovel, etc. even a working cell phone one time.
"Beep, beep, beep...."

I've also read the entire Harry Potter series, couldn't put the books down 😃

                    The beach life guards do appreciate me cleaning up the metal junk/hazards in the sand and properly disposing them.
