I like to think our rules on Hive is like an unwritten constitution. The more you stay the more you get to know these rules, unfortunately no one comes to make a post and says "oh, here are the rules"
Even in places where no one governs, you'll realized that these are the places with the most enforced rules that don't seem obvious on the surface.

That's true, but isn't that bad from the perspective of new users? I know that there are people who want to cheat from the very beginning, but there are genuine people who don't know those "unwritten" rules... And when they got bashed with a hammer, it can be painful and demotivating to continue and to "learn" the rest of the rules...

I 100% agree with this! I don't like to have many rules, but I do like to have clear and simple ones!

It's one of the things about Hive that we mostly put up with. On Hive I learned that I must make sure never to earn too much on my post. I also learned never to interact with a few people, else you put a target on your back. There so many unwritten rules. Some of them actually will hurt a new user who doesn't know anything. As people would rather choose downvotes than actual communication
