I am an avid football and cryptocurrency fan. Most of the time, I consume content from these two. Football, I have noticed, is one of the most profitable niches out there. Football players are among the highest-paid in the world, and this translates into revenue for the industry.
I am not surprised that billions of people on the Internet consume football-related content. People need to relieve stress, and football is one of the most enjoyable sports. Eight out of ten people are interested in football, making it one of the most popular niches for advertisers.
One thing I have noticed is that pornographic websites are primarily taking advantage of this large audience to place advertisements on football as a niche. Porn is an annoying advertisement, just like betting. I understand that betting is relative to sports, but how does pornography relate to football?
One of the ways they try to force it on people is to make it as intrusive as possible; they literally redirect you at every click you make, ensuring that you consume these ads, either involuntarily or voluntarily. It is often a form of Internet infringement, but there are no laws on the internet. I have ad blockers enabled in my browsers.
To be honest, I do not mind watching advertisements. I sometimes literally consume advertisements, but the only ones I can not stand are those for betting and pornography. Apart from my faith as a Christian, porn ads are demonically diabolical. I believe they have recently become aggressive because people are no longer as interested in pornography as they once were.
For example, I doubt you will find football advertisements on a pornographic website; it is always the other way around. Football is already a well-established niche, and pornographic consumption is declining globally. It is, however, still present in some specific areas.
For example, whenever I search X (Twitter) for crypto content, I notice some random people using the crypto tag to post 18+ content. It is really disgusting, and I usually have to say a prayer when I accidentally see some of these contents; they are morbid and disgusting, and this was not how Twitter used to be.
The way the Ad system works on X (Twitter) is somewhat intrusive. They literally put it in the middle of your favorite content and force you to see the contents of people who have paid a lot of money so that their content can be seen by a large number of people.
So, the way some advertising systems work now is to show it to everyone, as long as they have fingers. People who want to see pornographic and betting ads and those who do not see the same amount of ads, which is completely infringing. Some of these ads are actually designed to be visible even if you have Ad blockers installed.
Unfortunately, The Ad System Brings Money
Elon Musk is probably most interested in his ideas about free speech, but to be honest, X is now heavily advertised, and it is a minefield of various crazy things. However, some of the content we want to consume is there.
Some of the internet's most lubricative niches are receiving a lot of advertising, and this is likely to continue. I would like to see some ads on Hive; it will be a great new way to generate external profits. Some of the money can be used to offset the millions of dollars being smoked through the DHF.
The DHF literally bleeds the ecosystem a lot and do not bring as much value. I understand that ads can be extremely intrusive (though not as intrusive as pornographic and betting ads), but the ecosystem can truly benefit from anything that generates revenue.
