Nature's abundance : the complete transformation of my maize farm due to rainfall

HELLO HIVE

The uncontrollable pattern of rainfall is what dictates the productivity of agricultural system, for maize farmers like myself rainfall isn't a matter to be taken lightly at all . It is not a matter of convenience but a matter of heavy importance that will eventually dictate the direction of things at the end, irrigation supplements a lot but without rainfall there won't be any form of irrigation since the water source that are used for irrigation were indirectly gotten from the rain.

The challenges surrounding irrigation

The major challenge for me is the distance of the water source from the farm, the contents of the water because some of these source can be contaminated and the channels available to get the water from the source to the farm. It takes a lot of time and finance to get a viable channel in place to get the work going.

Rains intervention

Just when the maize are at an important stage of production the rain began to fall consistently which makes things easier for me , the maize is getting good amount of water that is good for it without any form of contaminants in it this has had a huge impact on the maize farm with the crops showing massive improvements within a short while.

Impact on maize quality

The production of seed needs a very important factor apart from the normal chemical reactions in the plant this factor which is water plays a huge role in the quality of the seed ranging from its level of productivity, the size of the seed and the maturity that the seed will have.

The kernels are much more larger, fresh and uniform .
