As I approached my 40 years of existence, my closest high school friends and I decided to embark on our first international trip together. They all turned 40 this year, so they wanted to create new memories with the group, and I’m so happy to support it since it’s my goal to travel with my girls on a trip before turning 40. Singapore was the chosen destination. All the tickets were booked and our hotel accommodation arranged; well, I must say that I’m the planner for this trip. My friend April wanted to have dinner with us so we could discuss our itinerary and, of course, our outfits of the day for this trip. We all agreed to meet at Dragonfly Café, just a few minutes from the city.

The café served good coffee, but the food menu options were limited. However, we still had a great night at the café. The place offered a perfect blend of modern ambiance and cozy charm, and the staff were incredibly accommodating.

Being with my high school friends added a layer of nostalgia and joy to the evening. We've shared countless memories, from teenage misadventures to adulthood challenges, and now, we are about to create new ones in a city known for its dynamic culture and stunning skyline. Three of my friends had just turned 40, and since I'm the youngest, this trip also served as a pre-birthday celebration for me, with my 40th birthday coming up in September.

Our dinner was filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and reminiscing about the good old days. We talked about our high school antics, the teachers who left a lasting impression, and the dreams we had as teenagers. Amidst the laughter, there were also moments of reflection on how far we’ve come, both individually and as a group.

As we left the café, we felt more connected than ever, ready to explore Singapore and make our 40th year one for the books. This trip marks the beginning of a new tradition, one where we continue to celebrate our bond and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Here’s to turning 40 with the best friends by my side and to the many adventures that await us! Cheers to friendship, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
