The Job And The Jobber: Seizing Opportunities

in LeoFinance14 days ago

Somehow the low times in people's lives are the best times to simply reflect on the things they've been through, for them to accept where they are, who they are, and what the environment is doing to them.

If you do not go through some of these processes before the next window or the next opportunity, you might just fit into something that may not be good for you.

Another way to put what I'm trying to say is that life is like a wardrobe. You go in to change clothes, and you don't wear the same clothes every day.

Life has different phases, and give you different clothes that you must put on. You don't use the same kind of solutions every day.
The faces in life can fall sometimes without our permission and without our comprehension.
We may even need to learn through them to come to the point of acceptance, to study what the phase has come for, for us to learn.
Because if the phase closes and we don't learn anything from it, we will be either a tool for others to benefit from, or a weapon waiting to someday explode.
Recently I saw a tweet.
And it says, "Even if you don't fit for the job, apply for it. Don't think you don't deserve it.Apply for it"
And this draws me to begin to think and consider,
what really stops people from applying for things that they need to apply for.
Can a carpenter apply for the job of a doctor.
Or should a civil engineer be applying for the office of a barrister?
There needs to be some closure given for some people. Because the jobs out there are mostly gotten if you fit for them.
You don't get the job if you don't fit for them. There are specifications that have been given for people to follow through.
And get accepted in their jobs. And so you can't just bring yourself, after you have checked that you do not meet the measures that were requested for.

However we see also some people who just believe,
as long as it's close to what is needed, you can just apply And they might just want to see, what stuff you are made of.

The conclusion basically for me is, whatever you really want, when you really want it, you are going to go for it.
If you know that that is what you want, go for it.
Don't just go for it by only applying for jobs. Also go for it by preparing yourself, and getting the required, necessary skills, that you need to be able to go for, that job that you want to apply for. Job seeking doesn't start or end, in the application process.
It begins in the training process.

Train yourself up, for the job you are seeking. And then when the opportunity comes, aim higher,
and you are going to get that which you want.

Absolutely, your analogy of life as a wardrobe is spot on! It's crucial to adapt and grow through each phase. And yes, sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zones and apply for those seemingly out-of-reach opportunities. Preparation is key, and training ourselves for the roles we aspire to is essential. Thanks for the insightful thoughts! 🌟
