Andi, Doni, Reza and Andika are 4 friends who work together in the same private company office in Bandung City. They are like siblings, always together in their ups and downs. The four of them work as office boys.
Andi and Andika are almost exactly the same. They both have big eyes, a high nose, a wide and slightly forward forehead, wide palms and curly hair. It's just that Andi's body is taller than Andika. While Doni and Reza have their own characteristics.
The four of them have worked for 4 years and live together in a boarding house that is quite close to their workplace. Even though their jobs are only as office boys, they all do it with enthusiasm because they have a wise and kind boss.
Mr. Joni is the owner of the company. Mr. Joni is Andi and his friends' boss. Mr. Joni is known to be kind and always fair in treating all workers. He does not show favoritism just because of different job positions.
Often Andi and his three friends while they were busy working were given free breakfast and extra pocket money every time Mr. Joni came into the office to check the performance of the workers in his company.
Mr. Joni was also a cheerful person, he liked to joke around with all the employees in his company's office. Until one day Andi and his three friends whispered to each other asking about the change in Mr. Joni's attitude.
Mr. Joni who used to like to give food and was always cheerful had now changed into a serious person and daydreamed a lot. Sometimes he lost focus during work meetings.
"What happened to Mr. Joni?" Andi asked while cleaning the warehouse
"I don't know. Mr. Joni seemed to be thinking about something very important" Doni answered while his hand was wiping the dust on the window glass
"As a result, we are all no longer given free breakfast and extra pocket money" Reza joked with a smile
"You're still joking around. Don't you feel sorry for Mr. Joni?" Andi said
"I'm also curious and feel sorry for him of course." Reza replied while apologizing with hand gestures
"Mr. Joni is thinking about the health of his only daughter. She has been sick for a month. Doctors at the big hospital can't handle it and are even surprised by the illness suffered by Mr. Joni's daughter" Andika finally spoke
"How do you know?" Reza asked
"When I was told to make coffee, I asked directly because I was curious and felt sorry for Mr. Joni often daydreaming as if he had a burden on his mind" Andika replied
"Then what else did Mr. Joni say" Andi asked
"Mr. Joni's next statement is what makes me quite confused. Mr. Joni told one of the four of us to travel to the remote forest in Sukabumi city." Andika replied
"What are you looking for in the Sukabumi Forest?" Reza asked with a slightly shocked but curious expression
"We were told to look for yellow bamboo for medicine for his daughter's illness" Andika replied
"Actually, what illness does Mr. Joni's daughter have and what is its relationship to yellow bamboo"? Andi asked
"The story is that after seven examinations by the best doctors at the best hospital, it was stated that based on medical examinations, Mr. Joni's daughter was fine and had no illnesses in her body. On the advice of Mr. Joni's personal driver, he was advised to go for treatment to an alternative medicine expert. Well, the alternative medicine expert said that Mr. Joni's daughter had a rare disease, the only medicine that could cure it was boiled water mixed with pieces of yellow bamboo." Andika explained in detail
"Then who do you think will go?" Andika asked
"How about we just draw lots using straws. Whoever gets the short straw will be the one who goes." Reza gave a suggestion
After everyone agreed and finally Andika himself got the short straw, Andika had no choice but to go to the Sukabumi forest to look for yellow bamboo for the sake of Mr. Joni's daughter's health.
The next day, Andika left for the Sukabumi forest accompanied by Mr. Joni's personal driver by car. The trip from Bandung to Sukabumi was quite long, with a travel time of five hours, not to mention having to face uphill and bumpy roads.
After they arrived at the location, Andika asked one of the local residents who was cleaning the yard.
"Sorry to interrupt your time for a moment, is it true that in the Sukabumi forest there is yellow bamboo that is often used as medicine?" Andika asked
"That's right. Who are you? Where are you from and where are you going?" asked the resident
"I'm from Bandung going to the Sukabumi forest to look for yellow bamboo. My boss needs it for his daughter's medicine." said Andika in a steady voice
"Yes, I understand. Many people like you have come here with the same goal of looking for yellow bamboo. But the yellow bamboo belongs to a resident named Mr. Ahmad. He is an elder in this village. Just come," said the resident
According to the instructions and explanation of the resident earlier, finally Andika and the driver went to Mr. Ahmad's house and after chatting for quite a while, Andika was allowed to take a yellow bamboo tree.
Andika alone with a machete went into the forest to take the yellow bamboo. After all the process of taking the yellow bamboo was complete, Andika and the car driver did not wait long and immediately said goodbye to go home to Mr. Ahmad.
Long story short, the yellow bamboo was given to Mr. Joni. After a few weeks, by routinely drinking boiled yellow bamboo water medicine, Mr. Joni's daughter had recovered and Mr. Joni's cheerful and joking personality returned to normal.
