This is beautiful, you analysis is thoughtful and relatable. Mistakes are bound to happen but then when we make these mistakes and still don't learn anything From it, then that when the problem comes in.

Learning from one past experience is crucial in future decision making and when it is neglected, it might be disastrous. I agree with you on other points as well.

Mistakes are sometimes inevitable and we must learn from past mistakes to prevent ourselves from making the same or greater mistakes when making the same or related decision.

That's exactly how it should be.
