RE: Many ways to support the Liotes Project

in Proof of Brain9 months ago

Thanks for showing us all the ways we can contribute to the project. I am still confused about "Workerbees". Specifically, (1) what are workerbees? (2) How do I employ them to support the Liotes witness on Hive-Engine?
Thanks!

Hey, David!

Let me try to explain what it is and how it works... 😃 WORKERBEE (WB) token is launched by the Hive-Engine team, and it is a "miner" token, like LENM, LEOM, or CTPM... It "mines" (produces) BEE tokens when it is staked! The only way to get some WORKERBEE tokens is to buy them from the markets (or exchange from BEE to WB through Beeswap)...

Besides that, they are used as a governance token for the Hive-Engine things (including voting for Hive-Engine witnesses)... As we run a HE witness node too, it helps us when someone has staked WB tokens and votes for us (the same as with HivePower and voting for Hive witnesses)...

When the price of WB tokens is lower, it can be profitable to have some staked as the APR could be interesting, as the BEE token is relatively stable in price (NFA and not guaranteed... just observation)...

Neither of the two tokens (WORKERBEE and BEE) is directly connected to Liotes...

Also, I (ph1102) run the WORKERBEE (mining) pool where you can DELEGATE your staked WB tokens and get weekly "dividends" (mined BEE tokens + bonus) to your wallet... It is a mining pool, like the one that exists with PoW tokens...

I hope this helps :)

Thank you for taking the time to explain about Workerbees. Now I realize I was looking in the wrong place for them, which is why I was confused! LOL!
