The Great Egret Ardea alba. I admire its silence, concentration, and patience during the prey. We human has many things to learn from nature.
The Great Egret Ardea alba is an all-white heron with a long, dagger-like bill that is yellow during the non-breeding season and black during the breeding season.
These photos were taken last winter in Maharashtra, India. We were driving on the road that passes through the salt farm near our home to buy some building materials. It was a hot midday, and everything was quiet since the workers who were storing water in the plot were on their lunch break.
The birds were the only signs of life in the area. We stopped the car and watched them quietly from a distance; they seemed undisturbed by our presence. It was wonderful to watch them and capture them with the camera. BIRDS AND WATER, my entry for this time.
