Just some screen shots and a little bit of a narrative from your truly, about the WIP ongoing in the beloved #worldmappin community. I am guessing here, that if this is funded from the DHF, then it is "money well spent" Not that I know much about such issues, I just travel, follow the lens and trust developers to develop.

I have great admiration for people who can make lines of signs and symbols and shit appear on a personal computer screen as something completely different. I find this orangey colour very comforting and calming

Fellow travellers, this is going to be awesome when it goes live; surely if this can be seen off the chain it will draw in new users and grow the community. Just a shame the cost to advertise in Condé Nast is fucking ridiculous.

What looks like a total and complete revamp it feels new, fresh, modern and even more professional and welcoming.

Playing with the map

I have been following the #LongestTrip being taken by @olga.maslievich and her two daughters @bugavi and @darine.darine since the sad but beautiful journey started, so I tested the username filter and voila all the worldmappin pins by this wonderful lady were there.

One further click later and the map started to expand, it is so smooth, click away on a pin until eventually

All adventures for that location become available to view, read and enjoy.

As you can see there is a wealth of information on the thumbnail

Another feature which looks interesting is the ability to create a journey. I guess it looks like a way of creating a road trip, it may suit some people, who maybe post only short blogs, for others it may be a step too far, time will tell.

BUT! and it is a big BUT! if a complete technophobe luddite like me can grasp this within a matter of minutes, it is going to be a walk in the park for everyone else.
