The Location:
The exact location of this coastal area is in Lugait, Misamis Oriental and it is near at the National road and urbanized place were lots of Houses, commercial structures and some cottages built. There are also three cellsite towers built near at the coast and a big cliff madenof solid stones and some wild plants and coconut trees.
Tourist will really love to visit this place specially during low tide because of some big rocks and sea weeds showed in the surface. Aside of that, there are lots of Marine Animals like crabs, shrimps, Fish and even shells can be seen and found here. The waves are also very calm and perfect for swimming activities and lots of rock pools can be seen here. In this areas, some fishermen cast their nets here to catch more fish. When the coastal areas contains lots of corals, it will expected to have lots of fish hiding under the big stones. Aside of that, most tourist who visit the place loves to swim in a deep sea water and this areas are perfect for what they want to have a good time swimming. Near in this area is the Fish sanctuary of Barangay Punta Silum and sometimes there are lots of fish swim in here and diving in the water.
Aside of Marine Animals can be seen here, there are also some animals like dogs running and playing in the shore. Some of this animals are hunting for food and some of it are digging the sands searching for food. This coastal area is full of valuable crops and plants like Bananas and coconuts. Some of the coconut trees here are already producing lots of coconut fruits. Because of the strong winds always happens here, those trees are already leaning towards the sea and due to hight tide, some of the coconut trees are already eroded and submerged in the sea water. Rocks are covered with marine and salt water plants were lots of marine animals hid. This coastal areas is not only consists of lots of corals but also sands.
This are the rock pools located in the place, each rock pools consist of marine animals like fish, crabs and shrimps that were trapped during the low tide situations. Tourist loves to take for a swim in those big rock pools because for them it is just like a man made swimming pool. This is also a perfect place for catching lots of fish, crabs and shrimps and at the middle of this rock pools are fine sands on it.
Some of the corals here are already covered with sea weeds. Everytime when there is a low tide, those sea weeds will showed up to the surface and sometimes there are fish trapped in the weeds. Massive of sea weeds can be seen and found here and it continously grows and expanding in the coast.
Most of the residents here are having a lot of good time searching for any crabs, fish and shrimps here. Every 5 in the Morning, they hurriedly went here to catch lots of it for their meals. Fishing in this kind of time is perfect because there is still no intense heat brought by the Sun and aside of that the low tide usually happens during 5 in the Morning.
This is one of the Marine animals can be seen here. We called it Suwake, a kind of marine animals contains a round shape with hard shell on it. It also contains a tiny sharp thing that served as its legs and it lives under the sea weeds. This kind of animal is edible and very exotic.
