Mistakes that leads to sleeping problems

If there is actually a common problem that has arise in this our fast developing world we are in rightt now, I will say it is sleeping problem. People are really struggling to fall asleep or even have quality sleep generally. Of course there are a whole lot of reasons that is making people to find it difficult to sleep and among all the numerous factors I made research about, I discovered one which is the effect of the blue light.

The issue is most of us including I myself spend majority of our evening to scroll through the social media and spend lots of time on our smartphones. What we did not know is that, the more we spend lots of time on our smartphones, the more it actually exerts lots of blue light that is unknown to us might affect our body system. There is this hormone that is always released to our body that always send a signal to our brain that it is time to sleep. But the issue is that blue light reduces the production of the melatonin hormone in our body system.

Apart from the blue light that is always released whenever we spend on our smartphones, there is also the factor of mental stress that comes when we spend so much time on our phones. I am talking about the mental stress that comes from those content and news we frequently encounter from our phones. It can strain our mind and make it unstable sometimes which can make it difficult for us to actually get quality sleep. I have been there several times I must confess.

One of the precaution I always follow I myself is to practice interval of sunset. What do I mean by that? Whenever it is around 6pm daily, I set my phone to sunset so that it can reduce the brightness of my phone. By doing so, it helps to reduce the rate of blue light I also consumed which goes a long way to help me to meditate and do other things well. In fact, I am begining to develop this new habit that I stayed away from my phone at least 30 minutes before sleeping. This has been helping to prepare my brain for massive rest presently.

Don't get me wrong, good sleep is very essential and we also need to make use of our phones at least every day. You will discover that our internet world is made up of the digital age and we need the smartphones to interact with the digital world. But even with that, we should create moderation and balance to everything so that it can help us maintain our health. If we can remove the use of screen before we sleep, trust me it might look so small but it will make a great difference most especially when it comes to our health. If there is something I have come to discover, it is the fact that health will always be wealth.
