Maybe you are like me, and you have a list of things you would like to (or need to, if you are my wife) buy, but you can't do everything at once. So the list grows and grows, and every once in a while you manage to cross something off.
Well we just crossed off chest freezer from our list!
This nice couple, it turns out, were storing their brother's unused, almost new chest freezer, and needed to get rid of it. Its still under warenty in fact, so new is it.
Said brother started selling beers somewhere, and it was going well so he bought this (which also has an option to refridgerate), but then something something now he wants to sell it.
Works for me!
So we loaded it up in the ol' Nissan Patrol, and it almost fit too! But not quite, so we went to the hardware store to get a bit of rope, eight meters to be exact.
So with that taken care of, we headed up the mountain, to see how close we could get. And wouldn't you know it, we made it all the way to the front door! That road work has been paying off.
The weather has been good, and we were supposed to have some visitors, so we've been fixing the road up extra good. I was happy to take advantage of this and get the chest freezer up here. Its not all that heavy I suppose, but it is quite voluminous.
Its a Challenger brand, which is (I guess) one of the good ones, and now that its all the way up here on our farm, we'll have to find a place for it. I know where I would put it, but I'm definitely not in charge of that. I'm in charge of moving it around.
We've moved it three times already, who knows if this will be the final spot?
It mostly fits there, except that is exactly where I used to sit, so I guess I'll have to find a new place to work in the mornings, which shouldn't be to hard.
But now, we will be able to freeze fruit pulp, like guavas, when they are in harvest, and use and/or sell them when they are not. I think its going to be a money maker!!
Wish us luck with the electric bill.
