There is nothing better than when, after a hot summer day, the temperature drops to a pleasant 25-26°C in the evening and I walk by the river...
Sitting in an apartment under the air conditioner is pleasant, but since I spend the whole day in an air-conditioned office space, I use every opportunity to go outside the apartment and take a walk.
And so this Wednesday, in our #wednesdaywalk community, I walk together with you and share photos of the river that I took with my mobile phone.
In Belgrade, after several years of intensive construction, on the banks of the Sava River, the construction of a new part of the city has entered its final phase.
Paths for walking along the river bank were built a long time ago, new buildings were also built, and in the last few months, some more paths were put into use, so that the enjoyment while walking along the promenade between the bridges is complete.
From one of the older parts of the city, Savamala, next to the beautiful building of the Geozavod, next to the young trees in the tree line, there is a pedestrian path.
Belgrade waterfront, a new modern settlement with luxury buildings and a shopping center, is the first urban settlement on the banks of the Sava River.
The urban plan of Belgrade did not envisage the construction of such tall buildings here, and time will tell whether it was a wise decision to design skyscrapers on underwater ground...
I only know one thing.
Even if I had the money to buy a property here, I probably wouldn't do it, because I don't trust the quality of construction.
But that's why I'm very happy to use the well-maintained footpaths and enjoy the view of the river, while the gentle breeze blowing along the riverbank cools me down.
