Hello everyone :)!
This post is for all my fellow music loversš!
My music taste is a little bit of everything. From smooth jazz and blues, to everything made from 50s and 60s, golden era rock ānā roll, all the way to chaotic punk and energetic K-pop/K-hiphop.
The only genre I really canāt stand (sorry not sorry) are cajke. Hard passš¤¢š¤®š¤®!!!!!

Music has been my only friend in the darkest of days of my existence, when there was no light, no direction.
So when people say āI canāt live without _____ā, I believe them. Because I absolutely cannot live without music.
My very first connection with music mightāve been through Elvis Presley. I still remember watching Lilo & Stitch as a kid and getting completely enchanted by his voice.
Honestly, I think cartoons and movies introduced me to great music early on, and that stuck with me for life.

One of the biggest constants in my life has been my love for The Ramones.
And hereās a spooky/funny coincidence: I was born on the exact date, year, and time that Joey Ramone passed away. I like to joke that maybe Iām his reincarnation š . He was always my favorite Ramone anyway .
I also vividly remember hearing āBlitzkrieg Bopā in a cartoon about a little toaster going on an adventure⦠but turns out that song isnāt actually in that film!? So who knows where my brain picked that up, but it clearly made a mark š.
Little note* I like to collect things from Ramones and I have around 10 t-shirts (not so punk huh..?)
:). Hereās just a few!
Sadly, since all of the original Ramones have passed, I never got to see them live.
They actually did perform in Zagreb back in the day, but I wasnāt even born then..
Or so I thoughtā¦

Markyšš»Ramonešš»Blitzkrieg, the band led by the only living Ramone, Marky Ramone himself and guess what? They performed in Zagreb this month!
For those who might not know:
Marky Ramone was the drummer for the Ramones from 1978 to 1983, and then again from 1987 until the bandās retirement in 1996.
Heās been keeping the spirit of Ramones alive with his band, touring globally and playing all the hits that defined a generation and continues to do so with the new ones.
When I found out he was coming, I was SO hyped. This was my chance to feel a tiny bit of that Ramones magic live.
The lead singer sounded so much like Joey it was so trippy but cool :). And the guy on his left (in the video) looked a lot like DeeDeeš!
The king of the drums Marky Ramone himself!!!

Now for the honest part..
Iām quite short, and if youāve ever been at a crowded show, you know how that goes. Usually I always arrive early at the venue and get to the barricade so I can actually see something but this timeā¦.
For almost hour and a half, all I could see were peopleās backs and headsš...
Itās a strange kind of heartbreak to finally be there, at a punk concert with a real Ramone, and still feel so⦠far away from it all.
But hey thatās life. Not every experience is perfect (although Iām still soooo bittersweet about itšš). I still hope they come again, and next time Iāll make sure to get a better view (or bring a ladderš¤£š ).

Even with the awful view, the music was pretty solid.
They played 35 songs nonstop, just like Ramones did back in the day. They played Ramones classics, some Motƶrhead, and even a bit of Chris Montez. A little something for everyone.
Hereās a clip I recorded at the show (that was the only way to see the concert LMFAOššš), featuring the song
āThe KKK Took My Baby Awayā ā one of my favorites :)

Inn the end, punk isnāt just a sound, itās an attitude and itās not going anywherešš¤š».
Letās keep music alive.
Punkās not dead. š¤š»š
